"I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions." - Joel 2:28

A Muslim village leader in East Africa had a vision. He saw many people standing, then watched as some fell to the ground, lifeless. Then a bright star moved across the sky, passing over those who were alive until it reached those who had died. The star breathed on them, and they woke up.

Then he heard a voice: "Jesus is the one who gives eternal life. Follow Him."

When the leader woke, he knew he had to find believers in Jesus. He searched until he found them and shared his dream.

They gave him a Bible, which had only recently been translated into his own language. Together, they began to read. They explained the Good News. The words he heard in the dream became clear as he read Scripture in the language of his heart.

Soon, he accepted Jesus.

God is pouring out His Spirit in East Africa, using dreams, visions, and His Word to draw people to Himself. When Scripture arrives in a heart language, the Gospel becomes unmistakably clear.

In India, fourteen states have anti-conversion laws that challenge Gospel work. Believers face exclusion from village water supplies and housing loans. Pastors are imprisoned. The risks are real, but the work continues.

Recently, four tuk-tuk drivers shared a story about their ministry: each vehicle carries a container filled with Gospel magazines provided through our partner Good News For Everyone Passengers can read as they travel and take them at the end of their journey.

One Hindu priest picked up a magazine during his ride. Reading it introduced him to Jesus. He became a disciple.

Despite increasing difficulties, Indian believers press on with fierce love for Jesus and determination to share the Gospel. Pastors travel 125 miles on motorbikes to receive evangelism training and Scripture resources. Before heading home with boxes of Bibles strapped to their vehicles, they gather to sing and pray, asking God to mightily use His Word to grow His kingdom.

Their confidence in the power of Scripture is unshakable.
Pray for the safety and boldness of these believers as they introduce many to Jesus Christ.

“The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.” - Psalm 29:11

The God who has the power to uproot trees is the same God who uses His might to sustain us. Biblical peace is more than the absence of conflict. It is a sense of wholeness that remains steady even when our lives feel chaotic.

We do not have to burn ourselves out trying to manufacture our own stability. When we lack the strength to endure or the peace to move forward, we can simply ask. God desires to bless us with the very things we cannot provide for ourselves.

After several days of travel to a remote location in Indonesia, a Bible Translation Consultant and a Theological Advisor arrived at a largely Muslim village to oversee a critical step in translating the Bible to their language.

For 18 months, a translation team in the village had been working on New Testament books in a language that had never carried Scripture. Now, the community review process would begin.

Native speakers sat with tablets, read through translated passages, offered corrections, and debated which words sounded most natural and true.

The community checking process ensures the translation is accurate and faithful to the language, and it creates community buy-in. When people know Scripture has been translated and approved by their own language speakers, they trust and embrace it.

The visitors then attended two remote churches. At one Sunday service, a pastor read aloud from the Gospel of Luke in the local language. It was the first time Scripture in their language had ever been read in church.

The congregation responded with joyful enthusiasm. Both churches are now excited to help distribute the New Testament when translation is complete.

Please pray with us for this translation and others like it, that God's Word will transform lives around the world.

"He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose." — Jim Elliot

Jim Elliot wrote these words in his journal on 28th October 1949, as a young man fresh out of Wheaton College. He had no idea that just months later, he would first hear about the Huaorani people of Ecuador, or that seven years after penning this entry, he would give his life as a missionary attempting to reach them.

His sacrifice wasn't foolish. It was an investment in eternity.

What we hold onto in this life is temporary. What we give for the Kingdom lasts forever.

“Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.” - Psalm 34:8

Summer gives us the breathing room to show our children that seeking God is a joy rather than a chore. When our children see us lingering over the Word or hear us pray when we are overwhelmed, we are modelling exactly where strength is found.

We can weave Scripture into the ordinary moments of our day. Whether we are on a car ride or folding laundry, let us look for ways to talk about His character. Truth sticks best when it is connected to the rhythm of our real lives.

“He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?” - Romans 8:32

God gave up His most precious treasure while we were still in rebellion. This act is the foundation for our salvation. Since the most difficult price has already been paid, we know that God is not stingy or reluctant to help us. If He has already provided the greatest sacrifice to redeem us, we can trust Him to provide for every other need in our lives.

When we face difficult times, we can let this verse act as a mental reset. We do not have to beg or stay at a distance. Jesus’ sacrifice made it so that we can approach the throne of grace with total confidence today.

In April, Biblica held an on-site training for World Vision leaders, equipping them to use the Treasure Hunt Bible program for children ages 6-10. During the same time, 45,000 Treasure Hunt Bibles were printed in Mexico City for distribution across three Latin American countries.

This is about more than giving kids a Bible, though that alone is a treasure.

Children are welcomed into groups led by supportive Christian adults and nurtured through an exciting program that helps them understand what they read in their new Bibles. They learn to apply it to their lives. They discover that God sees them, loves them, and cares deeply about every aspect of their lives.

These children become shining lights in their communities. They talk excitedly about what they're learning, often inspiring family members to come to church with them. Parents and siblings who might never have opened a Bible are drawn in by a child's joy and curiosity.

This is shaping a whole generation in some of the hardest parts of Latin America. Pray with us for the 45,000 children receiving these Bibles. May they encounter Jesus and become lights in their communities.

When Trauma Overwhelms, Scripture Heals

Imagine a mother caring for her two children in a refugee camp. She tries to provide for them, protect them, and help them heal, but the weight of her own trauma makes it nearly impossible to be fully present.

Around the world, people are experiencing displacement due to war, natural disasters, persecution, and violence. Reaching a place of physical safety is only the first step. To rebuild a life, you need the firm foundation of Jesus Christ.

That's why Biblica created trauma healing resources for families in crisis.

When Your Whole World Changes brings biblical perspective to suffering in the aftermath of disaster or conflict, helping families find comfort and spiritual resilience when everything feels broken.

Survivors helps children ages 6-11 process trauma through stories and Scripture, discovering they are loved by a God who cares for them.

When trauma overwhelms, Jesus heals. He is the rock on which broken lives are rebuilt.

“Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love.” - Joel 2:13

God is not interested in performative displays or a polished image. In a world where we often feel pressured to post only our highlights, He invites us to move beyond outward religiosity. To "rend your hearts" means being vulnerable and real about our failures. He isn't looking for a picture-perfect version of us. He simply wants our honest hearts.

We never have to fear returning to God when we have messed up. He is a loving Father waiting to welcome us home with open arms.
