An appreciation post for one of our own brethren.
Worshipful Brother Robert Cleland was presented his 50 year jewel back on the july Boyne Anniversary parade.

Robert took it upon himself to purchase a new set of Personalised LOL525 Mallets for both the Worshipful Master and Deputy Master. This was in appreciation of being presented with his 50 year Jewel.

Tonight at our monthly meeting, Brother Cleland presented the Mallets to LOL 525 Deputy Master Brother Jim Farr.

On behalf of LOL525 brethren, may we thank Brother Cleland for this lovely gift.

Norman joined the lodge after a number or years having previously been a brother of William Duncan Memorial.

Norman works tirelessly for the lodge as a committee member.

Simon rejoined the lodge after retiring from the band scene having been a member of the Gertrude Star and a few other bands over the years.

Our thanks to Ballymacarrett District LOL No. 6 for the award for Best Dressed lodge at the recent Somme Commemoration parade.

Our thanks are extended to Brother Jonny Farr for his efforts to get the lodge sorted with new attire.

Ryan joined the lodge a few years back and recently was able to walk with his son Jay who is now affiliated to LOL525.

Jonny was one of the founder members of 525 lodge and was the first secretary of LOL525.

On behalf of the Worshipful Master we would like to thank the Scottish brethren from Cambuslang, Whitburn and Springburn and also Wor Bro Darren Mcallister from Carrickfergus who is the brother in law of our Worshipful Master.

We also had Wor Bro Dylan Liley from Strathcona LOL 1654 Canada who also paraded with us.
