ROC Northern Ireland

ROC Northern Ireland Redeeming Our Communities launched in Northern Ireland in 2012.

Linking with the Police, Faith and Church and statutory & voluntary agencies towards safer kinder communities. ROC Northern Ireland is passionate about transforming communities in innovative and sustainable ways. We equip and support churches to work with others to reduce social needs within their communities. ROCNI officially launched in May 2012 when 2000 people, including many civic leaders, at

tended an event at the Waterfront Arena in Belfast. Since then there have been a lot of conversations which have opened the way to ROC projects setting up in many NI locations. Current Projects include: three ROC Cafe youth drop-ins (Derriaghy, Larne & North Belfast) welcoming over 90 children and young people each week. A ROC Care befriending scheme in Rathcoole and new projects working with families and young people in the planning stages.

As people of goodwill, working together for safer, stronger, kinder communities - we pray.

As people of goodwill, working together for safer, stronger, kinder communities - we pray.

Lord Jesus, Prince of Peace, we pray for Northern Ireland today.

Following the shocking attack on Monday night, and the violence and disorder seen in some communities last night, we pray for peace to return to our streets. We pray that all further violence will cease, and that no more people will be harmed, threatened, or driven from their homes.

We pray for the man injured in Monday's attack, for his family and loved ones, and for all those affected by this terrible incident.

We pray for the families who have been forced to leave their homes for safety, and for all those who feel frightened by recent events. We remember especially refugees, people seeking asylum, migrants, and ethnic minority communities, as well as all others who are living with fear and uncertainty today.

We pray for the police, firefighters, ambulance crews, and all emergency services responding to these incidents. Give them wisdom, courage, and protection.

We pray for community leaders, churches, and elected representatives seeking to bring calm and serve the good of the community.

We pray for truth and compassion in our conversations, both online and offline. Bring self-control where there is anger, understanding where there is fear, and peace where there is division.

Lord, have mercy on Northern Ireland, lead us in the way of peace. May every person here, regardless of their background or experience, will know Your peace and be safe tonight.

Amen.

🚨 Breaking News:

Thousands of Christians filled the streets of Belfast, Northern Ireland, for the recent “March for Jesus” event, a large public gathering focused on worship, prayer, and proclaiming faith in Jesus Christ. Organizers described the march as a non-political, family-friendly event that brought together believers from different churches and backgrounds in a public celebration of Christian faith.

Participants marched through the city with worship, banners, and prayer before gathering at Belfast City Hall for a time of praise, testimonies, and public prayer. Organizers said the event was meant to emphasize unity among Christians and publicly lift up the name of Jesus in the heart of the city. Reports described the atmosphere as joyful, peaceful, and centered on faith and hope.

The event has sparked encouragement among many Christians, with attendees saying it was a powerful moment of unity and public witness. Similar gatherings have also taken place in other cities, reflecting continued public expressions of Christian faith across Europe.
