Tuesday 8th September | 11am – 12.30pm | All Nations Ministries – a Christian charity serving migrants, refugees, and the wider community through Christ-centred outreach, practical support, and empowerment.

Friday 11th September | 11am – 12.30pm | Quaker Service - a charity supporting communities guided by the Quaker testimonies to peace, equality, truth, and simplicity. Quaker Service provides support to people whilst both honouring their heritage and meeting the needs of those most in need.

🎲FREE VOLUNTEER & STAFF TRAINING OPPORTUNITY🎲

Do you work with volunteers in your community, youth or church programmes? Need some training to upskill and help your volunteers in their roles?

ROC Northern Ireland and Orchardville are delivering a DI&CE (Disability Inclusion & Community Engagement) workshop next month - it's free and it's a great opportunity to upskill and build capacity of new and long-term volunteers and staff.

The DI&CE workshop aims to introduce and equip churches, community groups and faith-based organisations in how to be more inclusive of those with learning disabilities, autism and neurodivergent conditions. The workshop is interactive, with guest speakers sharing lived experience and each organisation receives a FREE ToolKit to help put their learning into action!

🤩Partnership working 🤩

Thank you James Brown & Sons Funeral Directors for your continued support of ROC's School Uniform Projects this summer. We enjoy working with you and greatly appreciate your support for our work.

It was lovely to welcome Beverley to the ROC Ballybeen School Uniform Project and show her the remaining (there had been 100!) stationery packs they generously supported

The stationery packs went down a treat with the families at our ROC Ballybeen School Uniform Project.

A great example of community partnership in action. 💙 Following support from the James Brown & Sons Community Fund in 2025, we have continued our support of ROC Northern Ireland School Uniform Project with the donation of stationery packs, helping children across the local community start school ready to learn. A huge thank you to Keeva Watson and all the ROC team for the incredible work they do to support local families year after year.

The school holidays are coming to an end and a new school year will soon begin. Don't miss out getting ready for the new school year at the final ROC Ballybeen Pop Up Uniform Shop next Tuesday (18th August) in Dundonald Methodist Church.

The School Uniform Project at Forthspring Intercommunity Group on the Springfield Road is OPEN this week.

Great selection of branded and generic uniform items for primary and post-primary schools as well as stationery items.

Our Best Practice Visits in July to the Guru Nanak Gurdwara, Windsor Hub and Indian Community Centre have been insightful, interesting and inspiring.

The visits are part of the Interfaith & Belief Project focusing on Unity, Peace and Welcoming as we explore how faith and belief groups support communities in their unique way. There has been much learning and connecting as well as great food and hospitality.

Participants enjoyed a community meal ‘Langar’ with the Sikh community – a great example of hospitality and welcome. The visit to the Windsor Hub with the Bahá’í faith coincided with their children’s community summer programme which focused on the theme of unity and included sessions on academic learning, arts and crafts, sports and character building. The visit to the Indian Community Centre provided much learning on the Hindu faith and the history of the Indian community in Belfast as well as showcasing the advice and support the centre provides to the Indian community.
