As part of 85th Anniversary celebrations, staff, service users and family members have been fundraising to raise £85,000 over the year, to support services within local communities.

Our relay team have been training for the last 6 months in preparation. Sarah from our Inclusion Matters Western team, is part of our 85th Anniversary Fundraising committee. She took on the challenge to enlist people to run the half marathon in Cedar's name and secured five runners.

Running with Sarah as part of the relay team are Heather from our Transitions Western service and Lydi from our Right4U Western children's service. We also have some brave solo runners taking on the whole 13.1 miles including Emma from our ABI Choices service in Newry, Marie, a former Cedar employee and Kyle who has a family connection to the organisation.

Our relay team have been following the NHS Couch to 5K to prepare for this week's run, encouraging each other with snaps of their run, routes and sore feet afterwards! Back in June the group held a fundraising event in Fermanagh to help them reach their targets, inviting service users and staff to come together over cups of tea and buns! With everyone coming from different areas, the morning of the race will be the first time our team will get to meet up in person.

Our runners look forward to meeting up at the finish line to get a group photo with their well deserved medals!

Our Arrow group in Newry took part in a fantastic craft workshop back in July, creating their very own Tote Bags. Everyone got creative with stencils and paint pens to bring their artistic visions to life, making custom and authentic pieces. Each service user felt very proud of their creations at the end of the workshop, ready to be used as an eco-friendly alternative to single use shopping bags! ..

There was plenty of laughter and friendly competition at the Portadown Arrow Group's Games Day earlier this month! Participants met up to enjoy a fantastic day filled with puzzles and jigsaws, alongside friendly matches of dominoes, draughts, and chess. Everyone got involved and put their skills to the test, wrapping up a day with a game of 'Play Your Cards Right' keeping everyone on the edge of their seats.
