Utopia Project Tullymore

Utopia Project Tullymore contact the centre for more information.

UTOPIA Project is based at Tullymore Community Centre in West Belfast; it is for people over 60 years, who may be isolated, stuck in a rut or just want to enjoy activities with people of the same age. By providing a welcoming and safe outlet where older people can avail of stimulating learning activities and opportunities to socialise outside their home, the UTOPIA Project aims to support older p

eople in the Greater Andersonstown community who are affected by issues such as bereavement, disability or long term illness or who live in residential care or sheltered housing. UACF provides a range of creative learning and social activities to help reduce the isolation, improve the mental and physical health and build confidence and community involvement of older people in the Andersonstown area. The main aim of the UTOPIA (Using Technology, Older People in Action) project is to offer support and encouragement to older people, enabling them to engage with activities offered by the project, thereby reducing their isolation, enhancing their well-being and helping them live healthy, independent lives, continuing to be involved in social, civil and political life as valued members of their community. Our page is another means of communication between us and our project participants who are learning all about computer, internet, email, Skype and Tablet technology.
