South-West Belfast foodbank

South-West Belfast foodbank Providing crisis food support to those in urgent need, from food donated by people in the community.

South-West Belfast Foodbank is (Registered with The Charity Commission for Northern Ireland NIC104892). South-West Belfast foodbank provides emergency food and support to local people in crisis. Foodbanks help in the event of family breakdown, housing loss, crime and mental health problems. We also take time to listen and signpost people to further support. Up to 44% of children in our foodbank ar

ea are estimated to live in poverty. In the past, neighbours used to directly help out neighbours who they knew were in need. Today, foodbanks are a 21st century method to allow neighbours to provide food for those in food poverty who are referred by frontline professionals. As part of the Trussell Trust UK-wide foodbank network, the South-West Belfast foodbank is run in partnership with local churches facilitated by Colin Glen Christian Fellowship. The South-West Belfast foodbank serves people across the communities from the Colin neighbourhood and Dunmurry to Andersonstown.
