Girlguiding is the leading charity for girls and young women in the UK. We give them the chance to discover their full potential and encourage them to be a powerful force for good. We give them a space to have fun. We know all girls are amazing and can do anything they set their mind to. Girlguiding encourages them to try new challenges and adventures, be it camping abroad, canoeing or partying at
our very own pop concert, BIG Gig. Each new experience helps our Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Senior Section members find out how much they’re capable of, learn skills that will give them a head start in life and make a positive difference to those around them. Most importantly they have loads of fun and build brilliant friendships along the way! We’ve been helping girls push the limits for more than 100 years – listening to them and changing with the times so we stay one step ahead. Our membership is made up of age-specific groups:
• Rainbows – age 4-7
• Brownies – age 7-10
• Guides – age 10-15
• Senior Section - age 14-25
All of our adult volunteers are fully trained and can access a world of exciting activities. These range from arts and crafts to outdoor challenges such as abseiling and climbing, from community action projects to international adventures.
