Looking to build your practical skills and confidence?

We’re offering a fully funded Home Maintenance & Personal Development course at WOMEN’STEC in Newry. The course combines hands-on home maintenance training with personal development sessions, giving you the opportunity to learn useful DIY skills, build confidence and develop skills for everyday life.

We’re hiring! | Head of Operations

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Head of Operations to join our Senior Management Team.
This is a key leadership role supporting the effective delivery of our programmes and services, working closely with our Programme Team to make sure our work continues to achieve meaningful outcomes for the women and girls we support.

We’re looking for someone who can bring strong leadership, organisation and operational management skills, alongside a genuine commitment to equality and the values of WOMEN’STEC.
Salary: £42,839
Hours: 35 hours per week
Closing date: Monday 26 October 2026 at 12 noon

We’re back!

We’ve welcomed a new group of girls from Trinity College as our new After School Club gets underway for the new school term.

Funded by BBC Children in Need, this 9-week programme gives the girls the chance to try out different practical skills, learn something new and get creative along the way.

They’re currently working on a mosaic mirror project, learning the basics of tiling and creating something of their own.

We’re looking forward to seeing what they create over the next few weeks.

Getting hands-on in the garden!

Our Gardening & DIY class in Belfast started a couple of weeks ago, and the group are now doing the gardening part of the course.
They’re learning practical gardening skills directly in the WOMEN’STEC garden, getting hands-on and putting what they learn into practice as they go.

This week, we're celebrating Reddy Architecture and Urbanism and their continued commitment to our champion.

It was great to welcome the Reddy Architecture and Urbanism team to our Breakfast of Champions, where we were delighted to present them with their new 2026/27 Champion certificate.

A huge thank you to the team at Reddy Architecture and Urbanism for continuing to champion a more inclusive future and for being part of .

And they’re off!

Our Make It, Sell It group in the North West has started their woodwork sessions, getting hands-on and learning how to turn timber into something they can create, use and sell.

Over the coming weeks, the group will be making their own woodcrafts and developing practical skills along the way, with the finished pieces heading to the WOMEN’STEC Christmas Craft Fair later this year.

We’re looking forward to seeing what they make.
