A huge thank you to everyone who took part in our survey on the Sign Language Bill in Northern Ireland!

Your views, experiences and ideas are helping to shape the future of British Sign Language (BSL) and Irish Sign Language (ISL).

We’re excited to now share the findings from the survey, which highlight just how important it is to make sign language more visible, valued, and accessible in everyday life.

For example, if lots of children are talking in the classroom, a radio aid can help your child feel included and hear their teacher more clearly. But getting comfortable using it can take time.

That’s why we’ve created a social story about radio aids – a simple, reassuring guide designed to explain new experiences – to boost your child’s confidence when they go .
