Reminder of this event happening this afternoon from 2pm, BBQ for those that ordered and haven’t collected will be available from GVRT offices this morning 🙂

End of summer family fun day has been planned for Monday 24th August 2-4pm at Ruby Murray Village Green and will include large outdoor games, balloon modelling, face painting and BBQ.

This is a free event, but we need names of those attending for BBQ. Please ring GVRT on 02890333527 or private message the page and let us know burger or hotdog, please do not comment as they are too hard to keep track of :)

Cut off for BBQ orders will be Tuesday 18th to allow us to get numbers across to caterers :)

Transport Hub - Planned Works

As a continuation of the public realm works around Belfast Grand Central Station, we will be carrying out work on Great Victoria Street, constructing 2 new islands in the middle GVS (adjacent to the eastern end of Glengall Street).

To enable this work to be carried out we will be closing one lane northbound and narrowing the south bound lane on Great Victoria Street (see attached traffic management plan)

The works will take place on Monday 24th August and Tuesday 25th August from 9am to 4pm each day.
Northbound lane closure from the Northern Mall entrance to the front of the Fitzwilliam Hotel, allowing traffic back into two lanes before the Howard Street/GVS/Grosvenor Road junction.
The southbound lane will be slightly narrower in front of the Grand Opera House to ensure a safe working area

Summer 2026 is nearly over and it’s been another busy one 🤯

Big shout out to all our staff who have worked hard from May to make sure our community young and old had plenty to keep them occupied over the last few months 👏

Reminder of our last community wide event which is a Family Fun Day on Monday from 2pm to 4pm in the Village Green 🥳
