Rights4Seniors

Rights 4 Seniors is funded by Atlantic Philanthropies and draws support from key stakeholders in the Age Sector of Northern Ireland. Access to Benefits (A2B), Age NI, Age Sector Platfiorm, Engage With Age, Belfast City Council, Centre for Ageing Research and Development in Ireland (CARDI) and, of course, Advice NI steered the project from its inception. Many, many more helped with the research. Most importantly, though, older people have been involved throughout as Advice NI canvassed the views of seniors in every corner of Northern Ireland. Their views and opinions have helped frame the content of Rights 4 Seniors and they then helped test the website itself. Usability panels of Internet Champions were created to discover whether Rights 4 Seniors was accessible and usable by seniors who had little or no experience of the internet. Their responses was then fed back directly into the design process until the website you see before you at www.rights4seniors.net was released. Other older people's projects represented on this page include: • POP NI – a web portal for older people in the north of Ireland which is funded by Atlantic Philanthropies. • Manage Your Money Better – a Comic Relief project to develop a range of online and offline information regarding how older people can maximise their income. • Supporting Active Engagement – a digital inclusion and benefit uptake project for older people which is funded by Big Lottery Fund.
