Our Grants Officer Caroline visited Lightwork NI for an evaluation visit.

Based in Antrim, they provide people with the knowledge, tools and skills they need to develop emotional resilience and cope with difficult life circumstances. Currently they provide therapy sessions for young people and parents followed by mediated family sessions, delivering a range of coaching and therapeutic support services to assist with building relationships, communication skills, trauma recovery and emotional regulation.

They received a £10,000 grant towards flooring costs and rent costs.

We had such a great time today visiting our grantee Portadown Wellness Centre. Trustees and staff met with Alan and the wonderful team who give so much to support people suffering mental ill health. We met with trustees, volunteers and participants - we even took part in a pottery session. Thanks to everyone who took the time to meet with us, and for a great day ❤️
Check out our creations below 🤣

We are delighted to sponsor the "Leading a Smaller Organisation" award at the CO3 Chief Officers 3rd Sector on Friday.

At Halifax Foundation for Northern Ireland, we support charities with an income under £500,000, so this award closely aligns with the work we do and the organisations we are proud to work with.

We’ve been sponsoring the awards since 2019 and are looking forward to celebrating the leadership and impact of smaller organisations across Northern Ireland.

Good luck to everyone shortlisted 💙

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Lloyds Bank's Chairman, Sir Robin Budenberg, for a visit.
Sir Robin spent the day with us, meeting the Foundation team and hearing from two of the inspiring grantees we are privileged to support - Black Mountain Shared Space Project and Mornington Community Project. His thoughtful and insightful questions, along with his genuine interest in the work of the Foundation and that of our grantees, made a lasting impression on us all.
Lloyds Banking Group is our sole donor, providing both financial and non-financial support, including access to its highly skilled workforce, which allows us to offer mentoring and skills exchange programmes to our grantees.
We are incredibly grateful to Sir Robin and to everyone at LBG for their time, commitment, and support for the Foundations across the UK and Channel Islands - especially here in Northern Ireland.
