The Safe Space for Her Campaign is a national campaign highlighting the importance and need for young women’s community spaces.

Inspire-Her wellbeing activities are tailored to the lived-experience and needs of local young women and girls, who say they don't feel like there are enough dedicated spaces for them to build skills, focus on their wellbeing, or just be. The previous "smash the patriarchy" ceramics session provided a cathartic release and opportunity to flip the narrative on some of the negative comments young women hear on a regular basis, take back their power, and learn that we can build ourselves back up.

This year's creative wellbeing activities are designed in collaboration with local young women and will help them to complete the Inspire award over the summer, but most importantly will provide opportunities to build confidence and resilience, have their voices heard, make a difference in their community, and feel a sense of belonging.

Every Tuesday we will be sharing a key theme, finding, or recommendation from our report on Bathroom Access in Schools which can be accessed here https://buff.ly/RSEAVnS

We intend to present our findings to the Education Authority and to the Committee for Education. We will send copies to all MLAs, in particular those with remits that are relevant to the study. While research is not a direct route to change, it is often the first step, and the testimonies recorded in our report should and will be seen by decision makers who hold the power to change.
