The organisers behind a long-standing north Belfast community festival say they hope to keep the buzz of the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann and Féile going in the city as their series of events follow-on from the two large festivals taking place this summer.

Did you know that Seán Mac Diarmada lived in Ardoyne prior to the 1916 Easter Rising or that Micheál Ó Cairealláin from Chief Street was North Belfast’s first elected Sinn Féin representative? Ó Cairealláin was sentenced to six months in gaol when he gave his maiden City Hall speech in Irish.
