Yesterday all the afternoon and evening Aer lingus flights at GBBCA were cancelled and the Easyjet 801 from LGW and the KLM from Amsterdam diverted due weather. At Belfast International, all flights operated as normal.
This seems to happen every time there is a yellow weather warning.

Last two BCA Community engagements at Holywood Library 2-4pm and 6-8pm.

Belfast City Airport expansion
The Airport is seeking to extend the normal operating hours beyond the current 0630 to 2130 to accommodate all these extra flights which means sleep disturbance up to midnight or maybe later and taking the sloppy exceptional circumstances agreed between the DFI and the Airport, this disturbance could be even later.

Belfast City Airport Development Plan 2040
Planned increase of flights from 30000 this year to 61000 by 2040. That's over 100% increase. Even with the yet to be developed quieter planes, it means more than double the disturbance the Residents living near or under the flight path will suffer.
