Wee Mollie has gone through so much
EXTRA special adoption appeal ππ₯²β₯οΈ Please share, as we are looking for a very special human for this lovely girl!
Mollie (est 5-6yrs old) has had a very traumatic past, and is in need of a very loving, experienced and patient owner who is willing to put the time and effort into forging a special bond with her π
Mollie was initially found 2yrs ago - she was utterly terrified, hiding in a hole in a wall beside a busy pub. One of our volunteers over that time fed her every night, provided proper shelter, and gained this lovely lady's trust bit by bit. Mollie had shown how loving she could be with our volunteer - arching up into pets/scratches, head bumping, making big biscuits with her feet and eagerly running out to meet her when she called! But it took a lot of time, patience and routine - as she had been so used to people coming into her alleyway that weren't so nice... or at best ignored her completely π
Mollie when she knows you and has settled in loves a wee affectionate session on her terms - but can get overwhelmed with too much, and she will let you know! Mollie is a lovely soul deep down, but we can't lie - it really does take lots of time to get there π₯Ή She just needs left in peace, with someone who will support her to take steps as she becomes ready, and show her it's still ok. Someone committed to seeing past her initial worries, and supporting her to feel finally at home!
It has taken just over 100 days in our care for her to show us her latest fantastic step in the right direction - she's started to play with her toys in front of her new foster mum! π₯³ She now nudges and rolls into her fosterers hand to say thank you for petting, and loves the sound of her fosterers voice reassuring her it's ok β₯οΈ Reassurance and routine is key to her comfort.
Mollie is seeking a quiet, very cat experienced home with no children. We are seeking a home with no other animals as this would be a lot more stimulation on top of everything she'll be dealing with on moving to a home. Mollie would preferably be indoor only now - she has shown that too much stimulation is overwhelming, and is just happy to be safe when she's settled, and know what is happening.
