We are delighted to welcome Carrick Greengrocers to the Living Wage Movement. Thank you for accrediting as a Living Wage Employer and doing right by your workers.

Carrick Greengrocers are a community owned greengrocers in Carrick town centre, selling locally grown fruit and veg alongside other produce from further afield, with lots of other locally made goods and treats. They join over 230 accredited employers in NI who believe workers deserve to earn enough to live on.

Advice NI are proud to have contributed to the Fuel Poverty Coalition Northern Ireland's response to the consultation on the Warm Healthy Homes Fund.

The coalitions chair, National Energy Action NI , said:

'The proposed new energy efficiency scheme has the potential to deliver significant improvements in warmth, health and energy affordability for low-income and vulnerable households across NI.'

We join other coalition members in welcoming many of the proposals. This response is intended to set out further recommendations aimed at strengthening the Fund’s design, so that it can deliver lasting benefits for households experiencing .

On 16 April 2026 Communities Minister Gordon Lyons announced a new support package for home heating oil users in Northern Ireland. Under the scheme, eligible households will be able to apply for a £100 voucher that can be used at heating oil suppliers.
