Education Minister Paul Givan today met with the Uniformed Youth Work Hub to hear about their ongoing work with young people across Northern Ireland.

Discussions covered a range of topics including the review of Priorities for Youth and funding.

The Hub brings together six uniformed organisations in Northern Ireland - Girlguiding Ulster, Girls' Brigade Northern Ireland, The Northern Ireland Boys' Brigade - BBNI, Scout Foundation NI, Scouts NI and Catholic Guides of Ireland.

𝗨𝗽 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝟮𝟰 💤

There was no time to snore at Burn 24.

𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟱𝟬𝟬 Scouts, Explorers and volunteers came together at Crawfordsburn Activity Centre for a 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝟮𝟰 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 of adventure. From activities and campfires to midnight gameshows, Taskmaster challenges and even a 4am charity fair 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 £𝟭,𝟱𝟬𝟬 for UK Contingent Unit 2 - Northern Ireland and Inspire.

Led by 𝗣𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝘀𝗼𝗻, Burn 24 brought young people from across Northern Ireland together to try new things, make friends and feel part of 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿.

Together, we’re giving them a 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴, building confidence and helping them gain skills for life.

And it only happens because of our 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀.

What happens when 400+ Cubs get together for a weekend at Crawfordsburn Activity Centre? Adventure. Laughter. And memories that last a lifetime.

Thanks to 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟲𝟬 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀, CubJam 110 was packed with everything from abseiling and water rockets to campfires and plenty of laughs.

𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 ⚜️

We’re looking for 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘀 to help shape Scouting across Northern Ireland.

We have three volunteer vacancies: 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱, 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱 and 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱.

Each role plays a key part in supporting our volunteers and bringing our 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 strategy to life.

A First Response is scheduled for 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟯𝟬 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 in the Cathedral Halls, Enniskillen, commencing at 10.00am to 4.30pm approx.

First Response is the minimum first aid requirement for volunteers working directly with young people.

If attending, a 𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 - refreshments will be provided by Fermanagh District.
