We were delighted to attend and support this weeks Supported Employment Solutions Supported Employment Awareness Day 2026 event!

The event really highlighted the importance of the specialist and bespoke support delivered across Northern Ireland through the SES Workable NI Programme.

As part of the consortium we are proud to be able to deliver specialist expertise support in the learning disability sector, and it was great to hear from other colleagues across the disability sector about the specialist support they deliver across Northern Ireland.

Together we can deliver a stronger, more inclusive Northern Ireland workforce.

🌟 Volunteer with us! 🌟
We are looking for individuals to volunteer with us at our annual summer scheme! ☀️

As a volunteer you will work with staff to ensure the children and young people attending the summer scheme are having fun, trying new things and are building their confidence. 🙌

This scheme runs throughout July and August, Monday - Friday from 8:45am - 4:15pm each day.

Volunteers can choose to join us for morning, afternoon or all day sessions, and ideally we ask volunteers to commit to a minimum of one week.

On Friday evening, Mencap Family Support organised a wonderful Family Evening at Indiana Land, with over 30 families joining us for lots of fun, laughter, and quality time together! 🌟

🌞Free Makaton Taster Session in Derry/Londonderry! 🌞

If you are a parent or carer of a child with additional needs, join us tomorrow and learn some everyday signs to help support communucation and interaction with your little ones!

The 2 hour session with The Makaton Coach, Sarah will include:
⭐️ 30 everyday signs
⭐️ 12 additional signs themed around visiting the doctors
⭐️ Fun, friendship and refreshments

We still have limited spaces available for our session tomorrow, Thursday 28th May! The session will run from 10am to 12pm The Mencap Office in Bishop Street, Derry/Londonderry.
