Less than 24 hours in and some of the experiences being shared are absolutely shocking.

Older people no longer using some parks. Families and children put at risk through collisions and near misses. Residents changing their routines to avoid problem areas.

We need to understand the true scale of this, identify the hotspots and push for practical solutions that tackle it properly.

If you’ve been affected by reckless scrambler or e-scooter use, please complete the survey below or in bio. 🔗

🇵🇸 MY MOTION WILL NOW GO BEFORE THE FULL COUNCIL

My motion on the three mobile maternity units waiting to enter Gaza has passed its first hurdle and will be heard at the full Belfast City Council meeting on Tuesday night.

If passed, the Council will call on the Executive to urgently press the Irish Government, UK Government and relevant international bodies to help secure the immediate and unrestricted entry of these units into Gaza.

These units are ready to help mothers and babies in desperate need.

On Tuesday night, I hope Belfast City Council backs that call.

LET THEM IN. 🇵🇸

🚨 Reckless scrambler and e-scooter use is making too many people feel unsafe in our parks and public spaces

I want to hear directly from people about what they are experiencing and where the problems are happening.

👉 If this has affected you or your family, please take a minute to complete the short survey.

People deserve to feel safe using our parks - and this issue needs properly addressed.

Best of luck to everyone who applied.

This is what our Hub is about - creating opportunities and helping local people into work. 🤝

Proud to be at Belfast City Hall today to mark International Overdose Awareness Day. 💜

It was especially important to stand alongside some of the people who give so much of themselves every day supporting those facing addiction and their families.

Today is about remembering every life lost, recognising the pain carried by families and communities, and demanding that we do much more to ensure people can get the help and support they need.

Restocking our wee Community Library again this morning 📚

It’s great to see so many people using it every day now - especially our younger readers.

And this guy, Captain Underpants, has become one of the most requested books from the young people calling in! 😄

Just come in, pick one up and enjoy.

🎻 TRADITIONAL IRISH MUSIC TUTORS WANTED

We’re looking for more traditional Irish music tutors to become part of our exciting new project in the community - Pobal Ceoil.

Pobal Ceoil is about breaking down the barriers that can stop people, young and old, from picking up an instrument, learning to play and falling in love with traditional Irish music.

We want to make music accessible, welcoming and rooted in our community.

If you’re a tutor and would like to get involved, contact me at the address below for more information.

We’ll also be opening online registration for classes very soon. 🎶
