A vibrant community allotment project on the outskirts of West Belfast. The Colin Allotment site includes 54 large raised beds, polytunnels, storage, toilets, compost bays and community garden with social area and clay pizza oven. Week 1 of our cob pizza oven making workshop. On Wednesday we set the base and participants learnt how to make cob and level the base. Week on week, step by step for 4 weeks, they will build an oven at Colin Allotments & Healthy Living Centre. The cob oven workshop is a fantastic opportunity for group leaders and individuals to learn how to build a pizza oven on their sites, and the cob mix will be supplied along with follow-up guidance. We intend to build two permanent ovens at the allotment site and a trainer oven which will be dismantled and rebuilt as workshops throughout the year.
