A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Fleadh events last week! πŸ’œ

From conversations about relationships and s*xual health to pottery painting, bingo and plenty of craic, it was brilliant to bring people together to connect, create and share experiences.

A special thank you to Belfast Pottery Painting for hosting the Brushes, and thank you to the colleagues from Common Youth, the Rainbow Project, the Sexual Health Training Team and Hype Team from Belfast Trust who came along and got involved. 🫢

And a big thank you to Belfast City Council’s Bank of Ideas Scheme for supporting us to make the programme happen.

Swipe through for some of the highlights, and keep an eye out for what’s next… πŸ‘€

Every Relationship Needs An Anthem 🎀

What relationships deserve their own anthem? From lifelong friendships and family to favourite places and everyday routines, some of the most meaningful connections in our lives rarely make it into song.

Join us for a fun, creative songwriting challenge where you'll work in small groups to write an original song inspired by an unexpected relationship. Together, we'll explore why some relationships are celebrated in music while others are overlooked.

No musical or songwriting experience is needed, just bring your ideas and imagination. The aim isn't to write a hit song, but to have fun and give the relationships that matter an anthem of their own.

πŸ₯ͺ Lunch and refreshments provided.

πŸ“… Saturday 8 August, 12pm to 2pm
πŸ“ Oh Yeah Music Centre, Belfast City Centre
🎟️ Free admission, booking required

Brushes, Boundaries and Banter 🎨✨

Design and decorate your own mug while taking part in optional creative prompts and activities exploring relationships, consent and safer s*x, including the opportunity to try a condom demonstration. There are no lectures and nothing you have to take part in, just a social space to create, chat and explore ideas at your own pace.

Feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks, and you'll leave with a mug you've designed yourself.

The Birds, the Bees and the Big Talk 🐦🐝

How did the people and media around you shape your understanding of relationships, s*x, and s*xual health?

Join us for an open, respectful conversation exploring the messages we've received throughout our lives, what we wish we'd been told sooner, and how we can make these conversations easier for future generations.

Whether you'd like to share your experiences or simply listen, everyone is welcome.

Part of Fleadh week and supported by Belfast City Council's Bank of Ideas Scheme.

πŸ‘ Everyone remembers their first Pride...

For Joe Walsh, it involved his mum phoning to say there was nothing for dinner, leaving him to carry a leg of lamb around the parade.

He had it for tea the next day. It was laminated in plastic, and marinated in Pride.
