Bryson Charitable Group is Northern Ireland's leading social enterprise committed to tackling major social and economic challenges. Through Bryson Care, we deliver a number of programmes enabling individuals, families, young people and children to live their lives to the full, while maintaining their independence. Services include home visits from care workers offering much-needed practical and em
otional support to vulnerable families in need of support, people with a disability or older people. Bryson Care hosts European volunteers who offer voluntary support to a number of organisations across Northern Ireland. Bryson Care engages with young people Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET) as part of the Department for Communities Pathways to Success Strategy to support young people to enter meaningful education, training and employment. Through Bryson Intercultural, we aim to improve social cohesion and improve the lives of marginalised communities including Roma community, Irish travellers and those seeking asylum from across the world. We offer a range of support including health assessments, housing support, education and training as well as a range of activities to encourage integration. Through Bryson Energy, we support and motivate energy users to reduce their costs and greenhouse emissions. We offer a range of services including a helpline providing advice on energy and we aim to reduce fuel poverty through supporting oil clubs, installing wood pellets, carrying out benefit checks and providing grants. Through Bryson FutureSkills, we provide a range of employment and training initiatives, designed for school leavers, young adults and those living with long-term unemployment. We offer a range of courses including vocational skills training and work with local businesses to secure placements for young people to gain experiences in the work place. Through Bryson Recycling, we provide high quality recycling services that deliver social and economic value. We collect recycling from over 278,000 homes and sort materials at our Material Recovery Facility. A further 170,000 homes use our innovative wheelie bin box enabling users to separate recycled materials at home which are collected using our kerbside collection service. Through Bryson LaganSports, we promote active living and personal development for all through a range of water and land based activities. As an inclusive social enterprise, we encourage everyone to get involved in fun activities to promote a healthy lifestyle.
