My motion which was submitted to council will now take place this Monday at the full council meeting.

This was to be at the last council meeting but with circumstances out of my control it was moved to the June meeting.

My motion was for SEN tool boxes to be placed in every council owned building within Mid and East Antrim Borough Council.

To be brought forward this Monday coming for consideration. 🤞

Our Labour Market Partnership is offering the opportunity to complete a free two week ‘Learn to Use Your Sewing Machine’ course.

📆 Starts Monday 8 June 2026
⏰ 10.00am to 12.30pm

If you are over 16 and a resident, then secure a space by emailing: [email protected]

Spaces are limited so book early!!

Preference will be given to those who are economically inactive, long-term unemployed or under-employed (working less than 16 hours).

Karen Strachan-Morris will deliver the course in Fiddlesticks Fabrics, Unit 13, Ballee & Harryville Enterprise Centre, 20 Antrim Road, Ballymena BT42 2BJ.

Following the fantastic success of last year’s Christmas Concert, Ballykeel 2 & District Community Association is excited to announce plans for a Community Panto this year! 🎉

We’re now inviting expressions of interest from anyone who would like to get involved - whether you love to perform on stage, sing your heart out, dance, or help behind the scenes. No experience is necessary, just enthusiasm and a willingness to have fun! 😊

👉 We’re looking for:

Actors & performers
Singers & dancers
Behind-the-scenes helpers (costumes, props, stage crew, etc.)

This is a great opportunity to meet new people, build confidence, and be part of something special in our community.

Today is the day - join us to Celebrate Ballymena 400 🥳

From 10.30am the town will be full of colour, cheer and music as a parade of local groups and organisations makes its way through the town centre.

The People's Park is the spot for our all ages day from 12 noon to 4.00pm. There will be music from the two stages, a petting farm, arts and crafts, a barrel ride and more.
