It's elderflower season!🌼 Have you spotted this fluffy floral hedgerow plant popping up where you are?

The at Rathmore Primary School have ensured that elderflower, along with lots of other plant species our pollinators rely on throughout the year, are taking root and connecting habitats across Northern Ireland.

With 20m of hedgerow planted in their school grounds as part of the Hedgerow Heroes project it'll not be long until they have a beautiful elderflower patch of their own.🤩

Thinking of applying for a Small Grant this year? 🌻

Take inspiration from Rouskey Community & Development Association, who used their grant to help local people plant, grow and harvest their own fruit and vegetables.

Their community garden is an inclusive and welcoming space where people can connect with nature and socialise with like-minded people. 💚

A great example of how Small Grants can support projects that improve wellbeing, strengthen communities and create lasting local impact. To apply, visit our website: https://bit.ly/Small_Grants_FB

We're casting our minds back to the and thinking about all the amazing hard work that was carried out to get our green spaces into tip top shape so we can head out and enjoy them right now.🌻🌳

Check out the Eco Rangers NI at their Carrickfergus community clean up, 17 tyres lifted! Now that's a BIG difference made to these shared spaces. Well done everyone.👏

With support from our Small Grants, Bangor Integrated Nursery School created a regular intergenerational litter-picking group to help keep their school campus site and nearby public areas tidy!🌱

The Nursery said the grant gave them much-needed funding to get a small but impactful project off the ground and it will benefit the children and wider community for years to come!

Applications for this year's Small Grants are now open! To find out more, visit our website: https://bit.ly/Small_Grants_FB 💚
