Colin carers group had a recent visit to Colin Allotments & Healthy Living Centre for a health and wellbeing workshop. Our ladies learned how to make delicious homemade bread and soup while learning the nutritional benefits of using organic and freshly grown produce. They were also treated to candle making and learned how to make their own homemade balm to treat wounds and skin irritations from completely natural ingredients. Thanks to Michael MCCorry for facilitating, our ladies learned a lot about the benefits of organic living ๐Ÿ˜Š
This session was kindly funded through The National Lottery Community Fund

Colin Carers group spent a relaxing and rejuvenating weekend together at The Corrymeela Community, taking time for respite and self-care, complementary therapies and a program of activities centred around physical, mental and emotional relaxation. Many thanks to our amazing facilitator Shauna, who made us all feel at home from the outset and introduced the ladies to the practice of Yoga Nidra, guiding them through the process of achieving a state of calm and clarity which can be continued at home. Also we would like to thank Alison for her relaxing facials and massage and to the wonderful team of Corrymeela volunteers who provided the group with such an amazing all-round experience ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿคฉ Many thanks to Apex Housing Association for their continued support of our project and for funding this initiative for Colin Carers group.
