Good Morning Colin Daily telephone support for older and vulnerable residents across Colin, Greater Dunmurry and urban/rural Lisburn areas.

The Good Morning Colin Project is a free community based support service for older and vulnerable people, providing reassurance through daily telephone calls and support. The project links older and vulnerable people into their community and local services, through signposting and referral to other local projects and organisations. Good Morning Colin also organise regular social events and excursions to encourage social interaction and participation in the community.

We had a wonderful afternoon with our seniors at Good Morning Colin's annual May Ball! Many thanks to everyone who came along today to make some great memories together and to our amazing team of volunteers who worked hard to make sure a great day was had by all. 🥰👏 This event was kindly supported by The National Lottery Community Fund

Dementia Action week runs from 18th-24th May and Good Morning Colin staff and volunteers will be at the Dairyfarm shopping centre on Tuesday 19th May from 10am-3pm at our dementia information hub. A dementia navigator from South Eastern Health Trust will also be present to provide advice and support for anyone who would like to stop by.

We are also hosting an information and coffee morning on Wednesday 20th May at Cloona house from 11am-2pm with all proceeds raised in aid of Alzheimer's Society Northern Ireland. Come along for company, a chat and to find out more about local support for anyone affected by dementia, while raising money for a worthwhile cause.

We would like to thank Glenclare friendship group for their warm welcome last week and for facilitating an enjoyable day out for our seniors. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the Glenavy ladies and the home cooked lunch was delicious. We look forward to meeting up again on our Mary Catherine's cottage visit next month. 😀

Our seniors were back at Colin Neighbourhood Partnership this afternoon to share a delicious hot lunch and a classic movie show. Many thanks to Glenwood business centre for supporting this initiative and we highly recommend Fuchsia Cafe who supplied our delicious chicken pie today 🤤 our seniors really enjoyed it 🤤 🎥 🍿
