Today, Belfast Pride volunteers were proud to stand alongside the community at MEA Pride in Ballymena ๐ŸŒˆ

Pride has always been rooted in visibility, solidarity, and collective action โ€” and today was a powerful reminder of the importance of showing up for one another. Across every town and city, LGBTQIA+ communities continue to create space, build connection, and affirm that everyone deserves to live openly, safely, and with dignity.

With speeches from our amazing volunteer - Paul Bloomer, previous co-chair - Kirsty Mulholland, and many more, the day reflected the strength, resilience, love and joy of our community.

Thank you to everyone who organised a beautiful day and well done to those who showed up, volunteered and supported today. It was an honour to stand together in solidarity and celebrate the strength of our community ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€โšง๏ธโœŠ

๐ŸŒˆ Do you have a story to tell? We want to hear from you. ๐ŸŒˆ

As part of Tenx9 with Belfast Pride, weโ€™re looking for people to share a true, personal story at this special Pride event.

Tenx9 is all about ordinary people telling extraordinary real-life stories โ€” no scripts, no acting, just you and your experience.

Whether your story is joyful, funny, moving, unexpected, challenging, affirming, or somewhere in between โ€” if it connects with the spirit of Pride, weโ€™d love to hear from you.

๐Ÿ“ Black Box, Belfast
๐Ÿ“… Wednesday 22nd July
๐Ÿ•ข 7.30pmโ€“9.30pm

You donโ€™t need previous experience โ€” just a story youโ€™d like to share.

Interested in taking part? Get in touch or find out more at www.tenx9.com

๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ Come and help make this an unforgettable evening of stories, community and Pride.

What a way to kick off The NI Pride season!๐ŸŒˆโœจ

Today, Belfast Pride volunteers were delighted to attend Omagh Pride, the first Pride of the year in Northern Ireland. We celebrated alongside an incredible community full of colour, energy and pride.

From the streets filled with support to the amazing atmosphere throughout the day, it was a brilliant reminder of the power of visibility, community and coming together to celebrate who we are.

A huge congratulations and thank you to everyone who made Omagh Pride happen! We canโ€™t wait to celebrate with all Northern Ireland Prides in the months ahead.

Pride organisations across Northern Ireland have come together in solidarity to make an important decision.

Following last yearโ€™s position, we will again not be accepting applications from parties within the Northern Ireland Executive to participate in 2026 Pride Festivals across Northern Ireland. Individuals may participate in a personal capacity; however, the display of party branding, political endorsements, or representation of any political party that forms the Northern Ireland Executive is not permitted.

This reflects the continued failure to deliver the rights, healthcare, protections, and dignity that trans people in Northern Ireland urgently need and deserve.

Pride is more than celebration-it is protest. It is rooted in action, not words. As organisers, we have a responsibility to protect these spaces and ensure they represent genuine, meaningful support for our communities.

Until clear and accountable standards are in place, we cannot offer a platform to those who have not demonstrated real commitment to LGBTQIA+ equality.

We urge the Executive to move beyond rhetoric and take tangible action, especially for trans people, across policy, healthcare, and lived experience.

Our communities deserve dignity, safety, and equality.
Pride is protest.
Pride is solidarity.
Pride demands action.

have organised an emergency anti-racist demonstration of solidarity this Saturday at 1pm at Belfast City hall. We are calling on everyone to be there. There is also an anti-racist solidarity demonstration organised by at GuildHall Square, 2pm.

Racist pogroms in our city last night have left communities terrified. This brand of collective punishment - targeting whole groups of people because of the actions of an individual - is racist and it must be challenged.

If you want to sponsor this event please get in touch directly. We want to send the biggest, loudest, most unified message that we will not tolerate race riots in our city.

๐ŸŒˆ Happy Volunteersโ€™ Week! ๐ŸŒˆ

This week, weโ€™re celebrating the incredible volunteers who help make Belfast Pride possible.

From planning and organising events to supporting participants, fundraising, stewarding the parade, and creating a welcoming environment for everyone, our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Their passion, dedication, and commitment help us build a stronger, more inclusive community year after year.

To every volunteer - past, present, and future, thank you for giving your time, energy, and pride to make a difference. Belfast Pride wouldnโ€™t be the same without you.โœจ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€โšง๏ธ๐ŸŒˆโค๏ธ
