Belfast Pride is one of the biggest festivals in NI with over 165 events across 10 days.

To every le***an in Belfast, across Northern Ireland and around the world: you belong, you are valued, and you deserve to live openly, safely and proudly.

Today is a celebration, but it’s also a reminder that the fight for equality isn’t over. We’ll continue to stand together, challenge discrimination and create a world where every le***an can be exactly who they are without fear or shame.

🩷💜💙 Happy Bisexual Day of Visibility! 💙💜🩷

Today, Belfast Pride celebrates bisexual people and the vibrant, valued part of our LGBTQIA+ community they represent.

Today is an opportunity to celebrate bisexuality, increase visibility, and challenge the stereotypes, biphobia and misconceptions that bisexual people continue to face.

Whether someone is openly bisexual, questioning, newly discovering their identity or has known who they are for years - you belong, you are seen and you are celebrated. 🩷💜💙

Today and always, Belfast Pride stands with our bisexual community. 🏳️‍🌈

Yesterday, Belfast Pride volunteers joined volunteers from Lurgan Pride and Omagh Pride outside Stormont, standing together in solidarity with our LGBTQIA+ community as the Conversion Practices (Criminalisation) Bill was debated in the Assembly.

We also stood alongside LGBTQIA+ sector organisations, united in our call for an end to conversion practices.

Conversion practices seek to change or suppress who someone is, and no one should be made to feel that their identity is something that needs to be changed or ‘cured’.

It was powerful to see volunteers and organisations come together in solidarity, showing that across our communities, we will continue to stand up for LGBTQIA+ people and their right to live openly, safely and authentically.

Together, we will continue to speak up, stand up and fight for a future where everyone can be exactly who they are. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Today, Belfast Pride volunteers attended Trans Pride to stand in solidarity with our trans and gender diverse community.

At a time when trans people continue to face discrimination, hostility and attacks on their rights, it is more important than ever that we stand together and make our voices heard.

We will continue to fight for trans rights, challenge discrimination and stand proudly alongside our trans and gender diverse community, not just today, but every day.

Yesterday, Belfast Pride Volunteers had the pleasure of joining Newry Pride for an incredible day of celebration, community and solidarity! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

It was fantastic to be part of the parade and to stand alongside the LGBTQIA+ community, allies, organisations and supporters as we celebrated love, diversity and equality in Newry. ❤️

Our Belfast Pride team were delighted to join the Lurgan Pride Parade today! ❤️

It was fantastic to stand alongside the LGBTQIA+ community, local organisations, allies and fellow Pride groups as we celebrated love, equality, visibility and community together. ✨

Today, members of the Belfast Pride volunteer team were proud to attend Causeway Pride in Portrush, standing in solidarity with our friends and colleagues from across Northern Ireland’s Pride organisations.

Together, committee members from Prides across Northern Ireland came together to observe a minute’s silence in remembrance of those affected by the events in Berlin last weekend. It was a powerful moment of reflection, unity, and a reminder that our community stands together across borders in the face of hatred and violence.

Thank you to everyone at Causeway Pride for your warm welcome and for organising another fantastic celebration of visibility, love, and community. 🏳️‍🌈💜

A huge thank you to Dylan Holloway for joining us at Belfast Pride Festival last Friday to screen Tomorrow’s Too Late and for sharing your story with such honesty, courage and authenticity.

Hearing about your transition and lived experiences was incredibly powerful, and your openness created space for meaningful conversations about the realities, challenges and joys of being transgender.

Events like these are so important. They provide opportunities for trans people to see their experiences reflected, for allies to learn and listen, and for our wider community to come together through understanding, empathy and connection.

Thank you to QFT and everyone who joined us for the screening and Q&A, and thank you again, Dylan, for helping us create a space where trans voices are heard, valued and celebrated.🏳️‍⚧️

As Belfast Pride Festival 2026 comes to a close, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who marched, volunteered, performed, organised, donated, and celebrated with us. Together, you made this year’s Pride a powerful reminder of the strength, resilience, and joy of our community.

However, we are devastated to hear news of the heinous attack at Berlin Christopher Street Day (CSD) Pride Event. Our thoughts are with everyone affected, those who were injured, the loved ones of the person who lost their life, and Berlin’s LGBTQIA+ community as they come to terms with this horrific act.

Pride has always been about more than celebration. It is about standing together in the face of hate, refusing to be intimidated, and continuing to fight for a world where every LGBTQIA+ person can live openly, safely, and proudly.

From Belfast to Berlin, we stand together in solidarity. 🇩🇪🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️❤️
