🇬🇧🏌️ ONE WEEK TO GO! 🏌️🇮🇪

Just one week until the first ever GB&I Four Nations Blind Golf Championship gets underway at Portal Golf & Spa Resort in Cheshire.

On 21st & 22nd September, players and guides representing England & Wales, Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland will come together for two days of international match play.

Monday will feature foursomes and fourballs, followed by 12 singles matches on Tuesday to decide the championship.

There’s also another trophy up for grabs…

🏆 The Auld Enemies Cup between England & Wales and Scotland will be contested as part of the event, continuing one of blind golf’s long-standing rivalries.

A lot of work has gone into getting the Four Nations ready, so a big thank you to everyone involved behind the scenes, as well as our sponsors and supporters, Portal, the guides, volunteers and ball spotters.

Now there’s only one thing left to do — play some golf!

We’re looking forward to two brilliant days of competition, plenty of friendly rivalry and, as always, the fantastic camaraderie that makes blind golf what it is.

Killymoon Golf Club - Friday 16 October 2026

We are hosting a "Try Golf" day for blind and visually impaired people in Northern Ireland, while everyone is welcome we are focusing on those from West of the Bann.

Start time from 9:00-9:30am with the event lasting 2 hours. A professional coach will be there to get you started, whether you're coming back to golf or you've never held a club in your life, everybody is welcome.

The team is now finalised!

England & Wales Blind Golf is delighted to announce the England & Wales team who will take on Scotland and Ireland (Northern Ireland & Republic of Ireland) in the inaugural GB&I Four Nations Blind Golf Championship at Macdonald Portal Golf & Spa Resort on 21st & 22nd September.

The team has been selected following a fantastic and highly competitive season, based largely on this year’s Order of Merit, together with a couple of Captain’s Picks.

Last week 10-13 August, four of our members travelled to Stockholm to participate in the ISPS Handa Scandinavian Blind Open. Kate Daly and Erill Maney took part in the Medal event while Caryn Young and Tony McEvoy opted for the Stableford competition. After a practice day and thirty-six holes of competition on a beautiful parkland course in Sollentuna twenty minutes outside Sweden’s capital, Erill secured 1st place in the B3 category and Tony finished runner-up in the Stableford match, not to be outdone, Caryn was awarded a prize for a “Two” at the water guarded 13th, eight inches away from a “hole in one” and an empty purse.
Most of those had an opportunity after or before the tournament to enjoy the City, it’s history, food and it’s warm and friendly residents.
Big shout out to the guides, Jackie Duffy, Alan Chambers, Mark Young and Victor Beggs and to the team’s mascot, Shelley McEvoy.

Ireland came agonisingly close as they finished second after a countback in the European Nations Cup for Golfers with Disability ☘️🥈

The Irish were eighth in the European Team Championship for Golfers with Disability, also in Golf Club Genova Sant'Anna.
