Education Pay and Grading Review

NIPSA Education Strike Committee met this morning, 28 August 2024, to discuss the next steps in the Pay and Grading Review process

The following points were unanimously agreed by NIPSA branches in attendance.

Negotiations with the employers and the Department of Education have concluded and a final offer is on the table

NIPSA Strike Committee is recommending acceptance of the offer

Upon receipt of legal advice NIPSA will circulate the full package of offer documents to branches

NIPSA will carry out an email consultative ballot process with members

Update meetings will be held for members

Industrial action will be suspended while the consultation process is ongoing

Following a series of intensive discussions the Department of Education and the Education Authority have indicated that they have reached their full and final position.

NIPSA will seek to liaise with sister trade unions and then rapidly move to a final consultation process with members.
