Every day, thousands of people pass through the West Bank and Dargan area, from ferry passengers and freight operators to the many businesses that call Belfast Harbour home.

It's also one of five policing sectors across the harbour estate, where our Belfast Harbour Police officers work closely with partner agencies to support the smooth operation of the port.

They are also first responders in emergency situations, providing an essential service to those who live, work and travel through Belfast Harbour.

Our officers regularly work hand in hand with the Driver & Vehicle Agency (DVA) Road Transport Enforcement Team.

Keeping our roads safe is a shared responsibility. Operations like these are vital in ensuring that private and commercial vehicles travelling throughout the Harbour Estate and surrounding areas are roadworthy and fully compliant with the law, helping to protect all road users.

A huge thank you to our colleagues in the DVA for their continued partnership and support!

Our officers were on site in the Titanic Quarter today, engaging with the public as part of the latest deployment. Great to see so many people out and about, enjoying themselves for the Fleadh. If you see anything suspicious or that you’re not happy about, let ourselves or event staff know.

🐾 A happy ending for Daisy! 🐾

After running out in front of one of our patrol cars at the weekend, Daisy the dog is now safely back where she belongs, thanks to the quick actions of two of our officers.

The team members followed the nervous dog into a nearby yard, where they were able to get a closer look. Wearing a pink collar and appearing very timid, it was clear she needed help.

A quick online search led officers to reports of a missing dog named Daisy, who matched the description and who had been missing for more than two weeks. After patiently gaining her trust and safely getting her into the patrol car, they were able to confirm by looking at her collar that she was indeed the missing Daisy.

Officers contacted her owner and were delighted to reunite Daisy with her family, who were overjoyed to have her home again.

A fantastic result and a big well done to everyone involved in helping Daisy get back home safely! 🐶❤️
