This year’s theme, ‘It’s Not What You Think’, invites us to challenge misconceptions about palliative care and discover what it truly means. Because Palliative care is about so much more than many people realise. It can provide vital physical, social and spiritual support to people living with serious illness, helping them to live as well as possible. 🌈

Misunderstandings can prevent people from accessing the care and support that could make a real difference to their quality of life. This week, let’s start the conversation, challenge assumptions and change the way we think about palliative care. 🤗

We were delighted to welcome the newly appointed Health Minister, Robbie Butler MLA, to NI Children’s Hospice yesterday. 💜

During his visit, the Minister met some of the incredible children and families we support, along with the dedicated members of our care team at Horizon House.

The visit was an important opportunity to showcase the vital work of Children’s Hospice and highlight the need for sustainable, recurrent funding to ensure we can continue being there for children and families when they need us most.

Thank you, Minister Butler, for taking the time to visit and learn more about our essential services. 👏
