Extension of Temporary Footpath Closure- Guy’s Lane, Beith, from 12.00pm on 23rd July to 6.00pm on 9th August 2026


I would inform you that the Temporary Footpath Closure at the above location has been extended to 9th August 2026 facilitate STORM OUTFALL INSTALLATION WORKS.

Due to the nature of this, legislation requires that in the interest of safety, this restriction must be put in place for the works duration. A copy of the Signed Order is enclosed

North Ayrshire Council, Neighbourhood Services (Roads) would like to thank you for your patience in this matter.

Closure Update*

Due to the high temperatures and favourable weather conditions, the newly laid surface requires additional time to fully cure before it can be opened to traffic. To prevent any damage to the new surface, the road will need to remain closed for a 24-hour period and will reopen at 17:00 on 26/06/2026, once the curing process has been completed

Congratulations to Ian Broughton our 2026 Beith and District Community Council Citizen of the Year !!

This year was the toughest one yet and everyone nominated was a winner congratulations to all our finalists Gordon Young, Nicola Robinson and Beith Community Food Garden Volunteers.

Thank you to everyone who made the effort to vote for our nominees and to everyone who attended our community event on Friday night it was a fantastic celebration of community spirit and what can be achieved in making our town a better place to live.
