Beith Trust

Beith Trust Beith Trust creates opportunities for our community to reach our fullest potential. Most importantly we are working to enable local growth within the community.

We hope to create local wealth and jobs, by bringing money into the community and keeping it within Beith. Our biggest and most fundamental enabling project to date has been the generation of Beith Astro; a full-size synthetic football pitch. The success of Beith Astro has led to BCDT enabling a number of other community clubs and groups such as the Beith Can Bike club; the West Coast Paddlers; an

d Unlicensed Events which allows creative arts within the community to flourish. BCDT also enables the Big Swap; a project aimed at recycling, reusing and reducing within Beith through the management of kit swaps, and eco-laundry powered by our very own solar panels. We want to increase Beith’s fitness one person at a time and one way in which we do this is through Social Football, this includes our Pay & Play days, Fun Friday Footy Fives and Summer Camps. We organise a number of community programs; such as Wee Shots, which allows the community the freedom to try new sport activities. A Credit Union community owned bank is also available to provide access to affordable loans and savings. BCDT is also an approved assessment centre offering SQA qualifications through Sports Leader Scotland. We are proud to partner with; Project Scotland, Oxfam Scotland, Zero Waste Scotland, Climate Challenge Fund and North Ayrshire Council.

, Today we're celebrating our wonderful Baby Bundles with Beith Trust volunteers, Meghan, Chrissy, Lisa and Melissa!✨🫶 Baby Bundles is a charity project based in The Three Towns, helping families in need in Stevenston, Saltcoats, Ardrossan and wider North Ayrshire by providing baby essentials for children from birth to 5 years old, whether it's nappies, prams and/or clothing🍼🧸

We rely on generous donations, which our volunteers sort, clean, and organise into specific bundles ready to be given to families. Without the dedication of volunteers giving up their own time to support Baby Bundles, we would not be able to help the large number of families referred to us.💙 Volunteers give their time across the three days the Hub is open, and one dedicated volunteer is now proudly running our free knitting group! Thank you for all you do for us 💙

Today, we’re celebrating the amazing team behind our Chit Chat Club – Shona, Sandy and Carmen!✨

Week after week, Sandy and Carmen help create a welcoming and relaxed space where people can come together, have a chat, and enjoy good company (and plenty of tea and coffee!). ☕

Shona, recently named Citizen of the Year, brings so much care and compassion to the group. She gives her time so generously, always looking out for others and helping everyone feel comfortable and included. Her home baking is always a lovely bonus and something everyone looks forward to. Together, they make Chit Chat Club a place where friendships grow, and people feel connected.🫶✨

Thank you all for the time, effort and kindness you bring — it really does mean so much 💛
