Heading down to the beach or off to a bbq, then do pop into your off licence for traditional, local beers and ciders.

Sampford Courtenay have a cider farm and only use their own apples with organic production methods, so yields are lower but have more flavour. They even champion the local populations of bats and dormice.

Which cider is your favourite? Warhorse, Lightning Jack and Grumpy Scrumpy all sound good to us.

Today is Devon Day! Officially adopted in 2016, it’s a day to fly the Devon flag with pride and it joins an ever growing list of celebrated days including the Google listed days …

National Sickie Day (First Monday in February): The unofficial title for the day when the highest number of British workers historically call in sick to work.

Lost Sock Memorial Day (9th May): A humorous tribute to all the single socks that mysteriously vanish in the laundry cycle.

Men Make Dinner Day (First Thursday in November): A notoriously brave (and sometimes smoky) day when men across the country supposedly attempt to cook a meal to give the usual household chef a break.

Do you have a suggestion for which day we should celebrate Beer and how?!
