Roots To Branches Autism Network A welcoming, inclusive community where everyone can connect and belong.

Roots to Branches Autism Network supports autistic people and families with social groups, a relaxed youth club, an adult group, and a Sensory Resource Library. Roots to Branches Autism Network is a local charity which provides support and help in preventing isolation for those in Coventry and Warwickshire with a diagnosis of autism and their families. One way, in which we offer our support is by

running support sessions where those diagnosed and their families can come to play and meet others in similar circumstances, we do not judge families or a child’s behaviour. The parents and siblings are able to relax in an environment which is ‘autism friendly’ and the children get to experience like- minded individuals and none of the pressures that school and other groups have. Roots to Branches Autism Network is a charity that is funded solely by fundraising and donations, all money raised goes straight into the services we offer. Roots to Branches, formely the Get Together group is making a great difference thanks to members of the community and local funders. 📦 CHARITY CLEAR-OUT 📦

The charity is currently experiencing a few storage challenges, so we’re having a bit of a clear-out of some items that we no longer use.

Rather than letting them sit taking up valuable storage space, I’d really like to try and make a little money back for the charity by selling them. ❤️

All of the items have been used, but very little, and are generally in very good condition.

💷 Prices are shown on the individual pictures.

If you’re interested in anything, just drop me a message and I’ll be happy to answer any questions or arrange collection.

📢 We're Back and Busy Planning! 📢

I hope everyone has settled back into their routines after the summer break.

I am so excited about this week's group and can't wait to share some of the exciting activities we have planned for next year! We have some fantastic external providers coming on-site to deliver activities for our families, and I'm looking forward to telling everyone more about what's coming up.

For anyone attending our Red Kangaroo Activity Session later this month, disclaimer forms will be emailed out shortly. These must be completed and returned before the session on Sunday 27th.

I'll also be sharing details of our Halloween and Christmas plans for this year, so make sure you're booked onto the group if you'd like to stay up to date with all the latest news and activities.

🎨 Craft Resource Clear-Out! 🎨

This week we'll be bringing along lots of craft items and materials for the children to use during the session. We're having a bit of a clear-out of older resources to make space in our storage room.

If there's anything you'd like to take home to use with your children at a later date, please feel free to ask. We'll be happy to arrange that for you where possible.

As a charity, we're always looking for ways to provide additional support and information for the autistic adults who attend our monthly social group.

We're seeking guest speakers from local organisations who can spend a short time talking about the services, support, opportunities, or advice they offer.

Our members often tell us that finding the right support isn't always easy, so we'd love to bring the information directly to them.

If your organisation supports adults in any way and would be interested in speaking to a small, friendly group in Bedworth, please get in touch.

🌟 September Family Session - Now Taking Bookings! 🌟

Our next Family Session takes place on 9th September from 5pm to 7pm at Exhall Old School Community Centre.

This session is all about getting creative! We'll have a fantastic selection of arts and crafts materials, including some hidden gems from our storage, along with lots of paper, paints, colouring supplies, and creative activities.

Whether you love crafting, drawing, painting, or simply having fun together, we'd love to see you there! 🎨✨

There have been lots of questions about eclipse-viewing glasses recently, so we thought we'd share another fun way to experience the event!

Our group is making a Solar Eclipse Pinhole Projector, and for anyone unable to attend, I've attached the instructions so you can have a go at home.

Enjoy making your projector and watching the eclipse safely. Don't forget to share pictures of your finished projects in the comments. We'd love to see them!
