Friends Of Refugees - FOR.Bedfordshire Friends of Refugees provides friendship and support to people who have been displaced from their homes. Registered Charity Number 1177693.

Our goal is to support refugees. We focus on those having to leave war zones or escape persecution, moving across Europe and arriving in Bedfordshire. We noticed lots of local initiatives to organise collections for refugees. Without wishing to get in the way of anything t

hat was already happening, we thought we should invite the organisers to see where they could work together and increase their impact, or direct it where it was needed most. And so Friends Of Refugees - FOR.Bedfordshire was born. Our goal is to harness the love and goodwill of local people, and ensure their donations of clothes, goods, food or money, are directed to where they are needed most. We're building a directory of who is doing what where and when, and what is most urgently needed, to help with this. We would like the people of Bedfordshire to open their hearts and recognise the humanitarian needs of these folk, welcome them to the area when they arrive and help them to settle in.
