Hi all just to let you know the BLT gang will be at the fete on Sunday raising money for the Beddau schools Christmas shoebox appeal so come along and join us and buy a burger or two to help us raise some funds.

With the resilience fund raised by Sharon Jones Jane Ellis and Anne Callow during our first two years we have been able to help fund our feeder schools for a substantial amount of time with a donation of £1000 each to the food pantries set up by their PTAs.
We will now have our formal closing accounts done ( free if charge by a qualified accountant) and final funds will be used to go toward Christmas presents into schools.

Join Llantrisant Male Choir for an outdoor summer party on Llantrisant Castle Green—raising funds to take our voices all the way to Crécy, where Llantrisant bowmen once helped give the French a very bad day indeed. 🏹🇫🇷
Don’t worry, we’re bringing slightly fewer arrows this time… mostly just top tunes, cold drinks, and good company. 🍻

While BLT has closed its doors to the public it has been wonderful to fulfil our promise to set up a food pantry in Llwyncrwn. Thanks to Mrs Charles and Lorraine for their hard work and support. We will continue to support our three Primary partners and the families of Beddau Ty-Nant and Tonysguboriau while funds allow.

Well it's done and we've come to the end of our last day as BLT.

There are thanks to be made - for getting us started Anne Callow (me!) Sharon Jones and Jane Ellis who made up the first committee and worked at getting us into the Community Centre.Rebecca Gregory also as our Food manager at the time. There would not have been a BLT without them.

So many volunteers to say thank you to - Lynne Murdoch, Gordon Ellis, Bob Millard , Clive, Ann, Caro and Tash. Some now friends for life. Thanks to Mick Smith for being our chief cook and bottle-washer for all our fetes and outside events.

Recently we wouldn't have stayed open so long without Gail Millard looking after our finances shopping and doing pick ups. Emma Lewis for keeping me in line - reminding me when grants were due, Facebook post needed doing and don't forget that email needs a reply!

Finally a huge thank you to all our supporters -You've made it worth it xx

It is with great sadness that we let everyone know that BLT Food hub will close it's doors to the public on Friday 29th May at 12 pm..

It has been a privilege to serve our communities on a totally voluntary basis for the last 4 years. There are Food banks in Llantwit Fardre and Talbot Green for those in need and the Trussell Trust do emergency parcels.

We thank all who have supported us either with donations or their free time to help us succeed these last four years

We will miss all of you♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

A huge thank you to Bob Millard for all that he had done in the Foodbank we will continue your hard work here at BLT.

Just to clarify ( again) we are not an out of hours service. This is efficiently done by the Trussell Trust who are bigger than us and funded to provide this for the Taff Ely area.

There has been an accusation that we would see people go hungry and this is both hurtful and insulting. It is easy to criticize when you are not part of the volunteer family who put in around 15 hours a week between them for no remuneration.

Social media thrives on discord and none of us are prepared to take part in that. We know we have massive support in the area and will continue to do our best even if people are happy to point out our failings.

Thanks to all our supporters and volunteers ( past and present ♥️)

I need a rant! After having confirmed with Aldi UK that we were able to get ALL our veg for the Easter parcels from them they sadly reneged this morning and limited us to 4!!!!
I explained we were a Foodbank and the boy behind the till knew me from Talbot Green but NO we couldn't have any more.

I can't say any more but if you are shopping this weekend Lidl GB in Pontypridd deserves your support.

Bob and Emma are now running around getting more veg!!
