Built to be dark and cosy on purpose. On a day like today — when it's a bit cooler, a bit greyer — it's actually the perfect place to be.

You're still connected to nature and the elements, just feeling held by it rather than battered by it.

Slots available in Beaconsfield this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Here's your invitation to book this weekend - link in bio.

Sunset last night. Giant hailstones this morning. Soft launch this weekend. 🌅🧊🔥

Hard to believe these photos are less than a day apart but some things can't wait for perfect weather and honestly, a wood-fired sauna never looks better than when it's hailing outside.

Chiltern Sauna Circle opens its doors at Penn Meadow Farm this Saturday and Sunday. Come find us. Link in bio to book.

Over the last two weeks I’ve loved sitting in two very different sauna rooms.

One rooted in Jewish culture, offering schmeissing at .chiswick for the .

The other shaped by Lithuanian roots, the wonderful Gerda from offering 'Netwhisking' where we gathered as sauna masters to share knowledge, practise and enjoy our craft together.

Different traditions. Different histories.
Yet the same instinct.

Gather.
Share.
Pass it on.

Another reminder that the sauna has never just been about heat.

Community is at it's core! About knowledge moving between people. About pride in where things come from.

I feel grateful to be learning in rooms like this.

And it makes me even more committed to building that same openness into Chiltern Sauna Circle 🥰

Thanks to .chiswick .sol.living for all the fun 💚

Late winter feels like an in-between season.

The rush of December has passed, but spring still feels a way off.

It is not a time for bright florals, but we are past winter spice and orange.

I notice myself drawn towards earthy, grounding, forested scents.

What scents are you drawn to right now?

✨ A little late to the yearly roundup… ✨

I know it’s usually the end of the year that prompts this, but for me it’s been doing my taxes 😂. Unexpected, but a powerful reflection point!

In the 24–25 tax year, most of my self-employed income still came from teaching yoga. Chiltern Sauna Circle was only just beginning. My first real customers came in early 2025. Before that, it was friends, practice sessions in the garden, and a whole lot of faith and passion.

Now I’m looking at what’s happened in just 13 months and understanding a little more why I might be feeling tired 😅
(hello incoming holiday to Norway, which will absolutely include floating saunas).

So many incredible highlights in just over a year...
• Buying my first sauna. My little tent Aurora, named after the night she arrived when I saw the Aurora Borealis in England

• Running my first festival sauna at right in my local community

• Countless pop-ups in fields, gardens, car parks, cricket clubs, wherever people wanted me

• Hosting beautiful community sessions and watching people connect and support each other. Huge thanks to for the support here

• Being trusted to hold bridal parties and birthdays, tailoring each one to the people in front of me.
• My first podcast with , sharing my deep love of sauna

• Deepening my training as a sauna master, from Lithuania to Scotland and many spaces in between, including sauna microclimate training and my Level 2 whisking

• Deepening my foraging and plant work, making scrubs, learning how to listen to nature and bring it into the sauna. Sauna plant camp was a dream

• Collaborating with brilliant local wellness practitioners on events like sauna and sound with

• And stepping into work with the , helping create content that shapes the conversations we’re having across the UK sauna world. Honestly, pinch me

On Sunday night, a group of female sauna practitioners were given the chance to step into something ancient, communal, and wonderfully cultural in the thermal bathing world.

We were invited to the New Docklands in London to learn Schmeissing - a vigorous cleansing ritual from Eastern European and Jewish bathhouse traditions. Historically taught and held by men, Schmeissing is rooted in community care: people offering it to each other freely as a way to restore both body and soul.

To be welcomed into that lineage - to learn it, honour it, and help keep it alive - felt incredibly special.

The ritual itself is beautiful in its intensity: time in the steam room to open the pores, thick white soap whipped into meringue-like clouds, the raffia brush dipped and swept rhythmically across the skin to exfoliate and invigorate, followed by a cold dousing to wake the whole system up. We even threw in some salt scrubs. 🫧🧼

The Yiddish word “schmeisse” means “to whip”… but the experience is anything but harsh. It’s grounding, restorative, and surprisingly tender - a moment of being properly seen and cared for.

The evening sparked rich conversations about heritage, community, and what it means to carry a tradition forward. And now we’ve been invited to offer our new training at the Christmas party in a few weeks. 🎄🧖🏼‍♀️

I’m continuously blown away by the experiences sauna continues to bring into my life - and deeply humbled by the breadth and depth of the lineage behind it.

Curious and excited to see what a feminine touch can bring to a tradition built on communal care.

Huge thank you to and to Toby and Julia from the for hosting 💚

And wonderful to see so many sauna faces old and new!

Had an amazing evening on Monday thanks to , sitting down with a local doctor and fellow practitioners to explore how we can collaborate and provide better holistic care for our community.

It was such a valuable starting conversation - sharing how we each work, understanding the differences and similarities between holistic and traditional care, and discussing the best ways to support patients safely and effectively.

Super excited to see where this goes and how sauna can become a valuable tool for our community — this one’s really close to my heart. 💚

Huge thanks to Seed Wellness for hosting and supporting this connection.

I stayed up in Scotland after the Soul Gathering for Level 2 Sauna Master Training and it was pure magic.

We deepened our practice with body whisking, scrubs, treatments, and creative group work, exploring how to bring more presence and artistry into every ritual. Three full days of learning, laughter, and sauna life.

And Scotland gave us every season - rainbows, sunsets, sunrises, deep grey skies, bright blue bursts, and mist so thick the land across the water disappeared and reappeared every time we popped out heads out the sauna door!

The site itself worked so well, two saunas with windows framing the landscape like paintings, and a Scottish pine standing tall above us. I definitely lost sight of the world for a while.

It was such a special group, and we were lucky enough to be trained by Birutė and Rimas. Huge thanks to Kirsty for organising everything, and to my brilliant roomie Lou for all the laughter and late-night chats.

I love how my sauna journey keeps growing, each experience shaping my practice, deepening my understanding, and always leaving me wanting more 💚
