Shanly Foundation is funded entirely from the discretionary distribution of profits made by the companies that make up Shanly Group.

Shanly Foundation primarily supports good causes predominantly within Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, West Sussex and parts of Surrey, Kent and Hampshire. Since 1969 Shanly Group and Shanly Foundation have contributed in excess of £23 million to those in need of a helping hand, from youth clubs, schools and woodland projects to centres for adults with physical and learning disabilities.

Ever notice how a song can take you right back to a moment in time?

Here’s a charity worth knowing about, we recently donated to Music24, a charity using the power of music to support people living with dementia in Hertfordshire.

A familiar song can bring a flicker of recognition, a smile, a moment where they feel like themselves again, offering families a glimpse of the person they used to know, to share in that connection and see their loved one still there, still themselves, if only for a song.

It doesn't cure or fix anything, but the sessions Music24 offer have a quiet power to bring people back together.

Small things like this make a huge difference don’t you agree?

We're delighted to share an update from Windsor Horse Rangers who received a grant from the Shanly Foundation to help fund a new hard standing area in one of their fields.

Before this, the horses had to be stabled every winter as the field became too boggy to use. Now, with a proper hard standing area in place, they can roam freely, access hay, water and shelter, and still get out into the rest of the field when they want to.

It's better for their wellbeing to interact with other horses, and better for their joints to gently exercise rather than being stuck in a stable. It also means less bedding and less mucking-out labour for the team.

But the impact goes beyond the horses. Windsor Horse Rangers is all about the young people who care for them. Through building relationships with horses and each other, Rangers develop as individuals, build self-confidence and resilience, learn communication and team-building skills, have fun and make new friends.

So great to see our contribution making such a difference.

More than just a coffee.

We’re pleased to have donated to the Coffee, Cake & Company, run by Age Uk Buckinghamshire.

A great initiative bringing together groups of people aged 65+ to help tackle loneliness, with each session offering practical advice on things such as falls prevention and scam awareness.

It's a lovely reminder that connection can start with something as simple as a cup of coffee.

Here’s to the people making sure no one needs to be alone.

Dogs have an incredible way of changing lives and for some people, that bond becomes a genuine lifeline.

Pawsable, a not-for-profit initiative helps people train their own dogs to become life-changing assistance dogs, supporting individuals with diagnosed disabilities including autism and PTSD and we are pleased to be able to donate to this cause.

Shanly Foundation is delighted to have made a donation to the Doctors programme at The Royal Marsden Hospital, run by Theodora Children's Charity.

An invaluable service where trained artists visit children staying there, bringing music, play and storytelling to help ease the stress of being in hospital and bring a little joy to their day.

Great to be able to support such a wonderful cause.

We’re delighted to play a small part in supporting Stormbreak, a charity doing brilliant work for children's mental health. 💛

They work with trusted adults in education, health and social care to support primary aged children's mental health and emotional wellbeing through movement to ultimately create more happy, healthier humans.

Wishing Stormbreak continued success in the wonderful work they do creating brighter futures for young children.

Bringing communities together is at the heart of everything we do, which is why Shanly Foundation are pleased to make a donation to the Watford & Three Rivers Trust (W3RT)

This incredible organisation’s Dig Deep Garden and Horticultural Project is a community garden based in South Oxhey.

A magical space where people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities come together to grow food, volunteer and take part in horticultural training activities. From green woodworking and horticulture to mindfulness and creating mosaics.

Dig Deep offers something for everyone, with a particular focus on those with neurodiversity, mental health challenges, or physical health needs.

Produce grown on site is shared among participants and donated to the local food bank, making every visit a gift to the wider community too.

W3RT has a vision of a community where people are connected, informed and look out for one another and that’s something we truly believe in.

A huge well done to everyone involved and for the amazing work you do on a daily basis.

At Shanly Foundation, we believe in investing in the next generation, which is why we were delighted to make a donation to the 7th Hanwell Scout Group.

Entirely run by dedicated volunteers, the group gives boys and girls aged 6 to 18 the chance to learn responsibility, practical life skills, and leadership from a young age, all within a safe and supportive environment.

Along the way they build confidence, develop as individuals, and discover the value of giving back to their community, and with camping at the heart of their programme, they also get to have fun in the great outdoors.

We are so pleased to support the brilliant volunteers who make it all possible. Keep up the amazing work.

Members of the Shanly Group team volunteered at the 'Missing Collectors Garden' at RHS Chelsea and came back full of enthusiasm for the incredible work Plant Heritage do.

Plant Heritage conserve the diversity of garden plants for people to use and enjoy, protecting species that might otherwise be lost forever. It's something we feel strongly about, which is why Shanly Foundation were proud to support the charity’s garden.

Seeing the garden awarded a Silver Gilt at Chelsea was a wonderful moment and so richly deserved.

Congratulations to everyone at Plant Heritage, the work you do really matters.

We are also delighted that Shanly Homes continue to champion this important work as an annual corporate sponsor.
