Shanly Foundation is funded entirely from the discretionary distribution of profits made by the companies that make up Shanly Group.

Shanly Foundation primarily supports good causes predominantly within Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, West Sussex and parts of Surrey, Kent and Hampshire. Since 1969 Shanly Group and Shanly Foundation have contributed in excess of £23 million to those in need of a helping hand, from youth clubs, schools and woodland projects to centres for adults with physical and learning disabilities.

At a time when mental health support has never been more important, Sorted Counselling provides a safe, non-judgmental space where individuals of all ages can explore their thoughts and feelings with experienced, compassionate counsellors.

We are proud to support Horatio's Garden Stoke Mandeville.

A spinal injury changes everything in an instant. The road to recovery is long and for many people, finding moments of calm, purpose, and connection is just as important as their physical rehabilitation.

That's exactly what Horatio's Garden offers. Nestled within the National Spinal Injuries Centre at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, this beautiful garden gives people a place to breathe, reflect, and begin to adjust to life after their injury.

Through gardening sessions, creative workshops, and social activities, people grow together and learn skills that bring comfort and purpose long after they leave hospital.

🚨 Reminder: Our Action Against Homelessness funding window is closing at the end of the month on 31 March 2026, so now is the time to get your application in.

Since launching in 2024, we have been proud to support charities such as Amber, Youth Concern, and Aylesbury Homeless Action, organisations that help people move off the streets while providing the wraparound support needed to rebuild lives and rejoin society.

We are particularly keen to support charities offering practical opportunities that help vulnerable people build skills and return to, or enter, the workforce. Applications are welcomed for single or multi-year grants of up to three years, including core and unrestricted funding.

Key dates:
Applications close: 31 March 2026
Shortlist announced: 12 May 2026
Deadline for detailed applications (shortlisted organisations): 30 June 2026
Awards announced: 10 August 2026

At Shanly Foundation, we are passionate about supporting incredible charities while also creating meaningful opportunities for our employees.

Recently, one of our Shanly Group employees, Ritu, was given the opportunity to join the Jumbulance Trust on a ten-day assisted skiing trip, helping to make travel possible for individuals with complex needs.

Stepping into a caring role for the first time, Ritu supported a wonderful participant throughout the journey. The experience proved deeply rewarding and personally transformative. As Ritu shared, “I came back back with unforgettable memories and immense appreciation for everyone involved in making this experience so special.”

As part of Shanly Group, we are committed to being an exceptional place to work, offering experiences that go far beyond the workplace. Seeing first-hand how our donations directly change lives is exactly why we do what we do.

Supporting opportunities that help young people grow is at the heart of what Shanly Foundation does.

It was fantastic to see the positive impact the Duke of Edinburgh Award is having on students at Skinners’ Academy, from building confidence and teamwork to developing practical life skills and embracing new challenges.

A big well done to everyone involved, and thank you to the DofE team for the meaningful work you do every day.

🌊 Supporting Water Safety in Our Community 🌊

Shanly Foundation is proud to support Baylis Community Media Ltd and the Maidenhead and Windsor Drowning Prevention Campaign, helping deliver vital water safety education to children across the region.

In partnership with Leisure Focus and Braywick Leisure Centre, the campaign will reach more than 5,000 pupils in 30 primary schools through engaging assemblies during Drowning Prevention Week.

Building on last year’s success, which offered free swim sessions for teenagers and intensive lessons for younger children, this year’s programme continues to make water safety a local priority.

With the support of the Shanly Foundation, Baylis Community Media, established in May, is ensuring that every child learns these essential life-saving skills.

Shanly Foundation is proud to sponsor Eagles Netball Club, a leading local club supporting players of all ages, from juniors taking their first steps on court to seniors competing at a high level. 🏐✨

Sport has such a positive impact on young people, helping them to stay active, grow in confidence, develop teamwork skills and realise their potential both on and off the court.

With the dedication of head coach Maria D’amaro and her team, Eagles Netball Club continues to inspire the next generation right here in our community, offering opportunities to progress from grassroots level through to the national stage.

We are proud to support a club that champions ambition, inclusion and local talent, and to be part of their journey in shaping the future of netball.
