This little lady is called Willow. She is a 2.5 year old Hermann tortoise who has come to live at Hollyview due to her owner's ill health.
Willow has always lived indoors, so she will now be able to enjoy the outside world - as all tortoises should. 🐢

This lovely little girl, who we have named Lily, has just come into Hollyview. She was being advertised as free to a good home. A lady saw the ad and was concerned that Lily would fall into the wrong hands. She got in contact with the owner and asked that if she could find the right space for her would she let her organise it. The owner agreed.
She then reached out to us, and Lily is embracing her new found freedom where she has plenty of indoor and outside space to roam. Lily is around three years old, and has settled in really well already - it is as if she has always been here.

The Pond was one of our Autumn 2026 projects. It replaced our existing pond in The Flying Paddock, and is much larger and deeper than the previous one. The geese and ducks have been throughly enjoying it, practising for the next synchronised swimming event in the 2028 Olympics!

Betty and Mabel have just come into Hollyview and have joined our little herd of girls. Their owner's circumstances changed, and they were no longer able to give them the attention they needed. They have settled in well and are enjoying their new found freedom and the a la carte menu.

These two dear little souls came in to us yesterday - a lady heard that they were being offered for free to anyone who turned up and was rightly concerned for their welfare. We have named them Maisie and Marlow. They both need a lot of TLC, as they are underweight, and Marlow seems to be in a state of shock.

We are hoping that with the right care and support, and some to time to decompress, that they will begin to thrive.
Once they are in full health, they will be looking for their forever homes together.

Dodo and Roman were our two guinea fowl, who had always been together and formed a very close bond. Unfortunately, Dodo - who was very old - passed away a few months ago and this left Roman absolutely heartbroken. Although Roman was with Dodo when she passed, he constantly looked and called for her and his whole character changed through his grief. Although Roman is surrounded by other birds - chickens, geese, ducks etc - it wasn't enough to console him.
Then, as luck would have it, we were asked a few weeks ago to take a young guinea fowl keet - who was in need of some tlc - and who we have now named Bodie.
We hoped that having Bodie would really help Roman. At first he was a bit unsure, but because Bodie follows him everywhere like a little shadow, his protective nature has kicked in and they are now inseparable. It is lovely to see the two of them together; Bodie is flourishing and Roman is back to his usual self.❤️

We are very saddened to announce the passing of our dear Ollie - the most gorgeous, well-mannered, gentle soul you could wish to meet. He has been a huge part of Hollyview for so many years and he reached the grand age of 37 - oh how we wish we had another 37.
RIP Ollie xx
