Dear all - this page is a forum for members to express their views on any new proposals that may be made for the estate whether they be positive or negative. We live in a democracy and everybody is entitled to their own view.

As we are all aware from previous experience vigorous examination of any proposal is absolutely necessary and welcome. If one makes a comment or statement, either positive or negative, this must be subject to scrutiny from all.

Personal attacks are not welcome nor are 'anonymous' posts - we are all in this together so if you have a view express it freely but put your name to it. Blocking comments is also unwelcome as this shuts down debate but we would ask that such debate is fair, balanced and does not descend into a slanging match.

We all want the best for the Normanhurst Estate so all opportunities should be welcomed with positivity but also questioned and not simply accepted. We also accept that some members are more social media savvy than others so please be courteous and understanding of all.

So the agenda for the Planning Committee meeting in the 7th September has been published on the Rother Council website.
We are extremely pleased to see that Rother Planners are recommending the application be REFUSED. Now we await the Council Planning Committee Members decision and hope they will take the planners advice.
However if they do agree with the planners and turn down the application we can all be assured that Greystoke and their cabale will appeal.
The fight will continue

Last couple of days to get your responses in to Greystokes comments - you can simply say you don’t agree with any rebuttal of your original objection. Don’t forget all the ‘experts’ are being paid for their responses, we are doing it because we actually care.
