The Bumblebee Children's Charity The Bumblebee Children's Charity incorporates all aspects of the child's development (physical, cognitive, social and emotional) into its programme.

The Bumblebee Children's Charity is an independent pre-school for children who have difficulties with movement and co-ordination.

[email protected] Every child has different needs, so the programme is designed around the individual child and related to his or her age and abilities. The staff team are always there to guide and support. Parents/carers work with their child, usually as part of a group, using equipment, toys and songs to make the tasks enjoyable and productive. it is important that the parent and child are involved together in the learning process and all skills learned are closely related to those which serve a purpose at home. Children attending have a range of conditions including Down's Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Infantile Spasms, Chromosomal Abnormalties and other developmental challenges. Many have no diagnosis. The only remit is that the child has a delay in acquiring their physical skills.

We had another lovely visit from our favourite therapy dog, Walter! 🐕💛

The children enjoyed stroking him, chatting to him and giving him treats. They were very proud to show Walter their amazing standing and crawling skills, and then it was Walter’s turn to show off his fantastic tricks! 🐾👏

A wonderful afternoon full of smiles, laughter and special moments. 🥰

🐝🌿 This week, we’ve been reading Walking Through the Jungle and having lots of fun exploring the different animals and copying the sounds they make! 🐒🦁🐘

As the animals in the story were looking for their tea, our little bees got busy helping to prepare their own food! 🍽️ Some children practised using a knife and fork to cut up their food, while others explored the different textures using their hands. Lots of wonderful opportunities for sensory exploration and developing independence! 💛💜

Another lovely week full of learning, exploring and smiling faces. Just look at these beautiful little bees! 🐝🥰

💛💜 A huge thank you to St Audrey’s Golf Club STAGS team! 🐝

Thank you for another year of amazing support for The Bumblebee Children’s Charity. We had wonderful weather, a beautiful golf course and such a fantastic welcome from the members. ⛳️☀️

We were absolutely delighted to receive a whopping £2,500 today! 🎉

Your generosity will help us continue our Miracles in Movement and Music Therapy sessions, making a real difference to the children and families we support. 💜
