It is with profound sadness that we announce the funeral details of Noor Butt, the beloved son of our beloved brother Majid Butt, a driving force behind The Date Project.

No words can truly ease the pain of losing a child. Our thoughts, du’as and deepest condolences are with Majid Butt, Katherine Daniels, their family, friends, and all those who knew and loved Noor.

Through The Date Project, countless acts of goodness have reached people across the world — feeding families, supporting vulnerable communities, helping orphans and bringing benefit to so many. We pray that every act of sadaqah, every date shared, every smile brought to another person, and every du’a made through this project becomes a means of ongoing Sadaqah Jariyah for Noor.

May Allah (SWT) shower His infinite mercy upon Noor, forgive his shortcomings, illuminate and expand his grave, and grant him the highest ranks in Jannatul Firdaus. May Allah grant Majid, Katherine and the entire family beautiful sabr, strength and comfort during this unimaginable test.

We ask everyone to sincerely pray for Noor and request as many people as possible to attend the Janazah to support the family during this difficult test.

Please keep Noor and the family in your sincere du’as.

A heartfelt thank you to every single person who took part in The Date Project and One Nation’s Giftback. Whether you donated, helped organise, purchased items, prepared gifts, or supported in any way your efforts made a real difference.

Together, we raised and prepared an incredible 9,000 gifts, that’s 9,000 smiles brought to the faces of children in Syria.

Your kindness, generosity, and teamwork turned compassion into action, and we are truly grateful for every contribution, big or small.

May your generosity be rewarded abundantly, and may the happiness you brought to others return to you many times over. Thank you for being part of something so meaningful.

May Allah (SWT) accept every effort, bless you and your families with good health, happiness and barakah, and continue to use us all as a means of bringing ease and joy to those in need. Ameen.
