It is with profound sadness that we announce the funeral details of Noor Butt, the beloved son of our beloved brother Majid Butt, a driving force behind The Date Project.
No words can truly ease the pain of losing a child. Our thoughts, du’as and deepest condolences are with Majid Butt, Katherine Daniels, their family, friends, and all those who knew and loved Noor.
Through The Date Project, countless acts of goodness have reached people across the world — feeding families, supporting vulnerable communities, helping orphans and bringing benefit to so many. We pray that every act of sadaqah, every date shared, every smile brought to another person, and every du’a made through this project becomes a means of ongoing Sadaqah Jariyah for Noor.
May Allah (SWT) shower His infinite mercy upon Noor, forgive his shortcomings, illuminate and expand his grave, and grant him the highest ranks in Jannatul Firdaus. May Allah grant Majid, Katherine and the entire family beautiful sabr, strength and comfort during this unimaginable test.
We ask everyone to sincerely pray for Noor and request as many people as possible to attend the Janazah to support the family during this difficult test.
