Last night we shared a wonderful evening of entertainment in the company of the fabulous Karen Clegg as we listened to her 'Musical Journey' through word and song. The event was organised by Rotarian Jeremy Parkinson to raise money for The Kirkwood and, going by the audience reaction, was a great success! In total we raised Β£1,054, with Β£400 coming from the raffle, the prizes having been donated by Tesco Batley who are great supporters of many our fundraising efforts.
A huge thank you to everyone who came and supported this event at Batley Community Centre

We've a few tickets left for what should prove to be a great evening of entertainment with Karen Clegg! Please get in touch if you're interested in joining us; all profits to The Kirkwood, the hospice for Kirklees.

At a recent club meeting we were pleased to welcome representatives from both Batley Food Bank and Birstall Community Partnership - Food share. Both groups gave our members details of how they work within the communities of and . Although the Food bank and Food share work in different ways, they both provide a vital service for those in need of support in our area.
We were delighted to be able to donate Β£500 to each organisation from the monies collected at Tesco Batley during December.
