The community centre management committee have recently been informed that their revised proposal to run the community centre has not been accepted by West Lothian Council.
This means that West Lothian Council will run the centre from 1st April 2026 under the new council operating model. This applies to many centres in the county.
It means that the community centre will remain open. 🙌 There will be changes in pricing and opening hours.
The management committee would like to thank the community for their support during the community engagement process whilst investigating options.
The committee may retain charitable status and continue to support the community using the residual funds, as these will not transfer to the council. This will be reviewed and decided upon in due course.
