Girls are welcome at Bathgate Parish Church, Gideon Street on a Wednesday evening - P1-3 from 6:15pm and P4 upwards from 7pm.

Some of you will already have seen the news that Girls’ Brigade Scotland will be closing in May 2027.

We want to reassure everyone that 2nd Bathgate Girls’ Brigade will continue as normal and we are already looking forward to welcoming our girls and young women back after the summer break.

We know this news will feel very sad for many people, especially those who have given so much of their lives to Girls’ Brigade Scotland over the years. We are incredibly grateful for all that has been built through the organisation and the impact it has had on generations of girls and leaders.

We already have lots of excitement about next session. Please continue to pray for the Executive and office staff during what is understandably a very difficult and emotional time for many people.

Have a lovely summer break and we look forward to seeing everyone again after the summer.

A massive thank you to everyone who came along to support and celebrate with our girls this evening at their annual Awards Night.

We had an amazing turn out of friends, families and invited guests and we hope that you all enjoyed your evening!

Many thanks also for the generous donations to the Church Foodbank.

Keep your eyes peeled on our page over the summer for info about our return in September for a brand new session!

***TONIGHT IS OUR AWARDS EVENING***
Wednesday 20th May 2026 - 6.45pm

Family and friends are invited to attend our awards evening which will be held in the large hall. This is an important evening for the girls where they will receive their badges and gifts.

All girls should wear their GB uniform with armband (if they have one), or school uniform.

Girls should arrive in the large hall by 6.30pm.

This year, instead of the collection plate, we are again asking for food donations for the Foodbank which is run here at the Church.
Tea and Coffee will be served after the presentation with juice and crisps for all children attending.

We look forward to welcoming you all to celebrate the girls' hard work and participation over the year and to finalise our 2025-2026 session.

Tonight is our penultimate evening before next week's Awards Evening, which will mark the end of our 2025-2026 session.

It would be great if as many girls as possible attend as we will spend part of tonight practising for our celebration night as well as having our final activities of the year with our friends in each section.

Details and timings for next week have been given out to the girls and we look forward to welcoming you all.
