💜 It’s your first of the month reminder to check for lumps, bumps or anything different, you know your own body better than anyone so you will notice any changes and if you do, get it checked, it could save your life. 💜 Breast Cancer Now explain the symptoms of breast cancer and the symptoms to look out for, and remember gents, it’s not just women who can get breast cancer, so be checking your chest area too. 💜

💜 Goodbye August, hello September, and welcome to our September Calendar Girl Sheena. 💜 Our 2026 Calendar Girls all took part in the 2025 Breast Friends and Family Fundraising Fashion Show in May 2025. 💜 The Fashion Show is an opportunity for Breast Friends and Family not only to pamper the lovely ladies taking part but to raise awareness and also raise funds for the charity. But we can’t run our raffles and auctions without the generosity of those who make the donations that allow us to make up the fabulous hampers and offer fantastic prizes, so massive thank you to everyone who donated and helped us raise a fabulous amount at our Fashion Show. 💜 The cars on the day were all provided by members of Autobahn Scotland, allowing the ladies to arrive at The Vu in style! 💜 Our photographers capturing both the day and evening were Anne Johnston from Glitz & Glam Photography, Dave Johnston from Alba Aerial Imaging, and Julie and Howard Ruzgar. 💜 Thank you everyone for helping make the 2026 calendar possible. 🥰💜

💜 Our ‘Boob Squad’ will be out at the Livingston Cricket Club Gala Day on Saturday, reminding everyone of the importance of self checking. 💜 We’ll also have our charity goodies for sale and we’ve had ducks and pigs but our popular Jar Pong game this year will be full of dinosaurs of varying sizes for you to have a chance to win! 🦖🦕 😊💜 Come along and see us and enjoy the fun and games of the gala day! 😊💜

Do you know how to check your chest or your breasts for signs of breast cancer? Breast Friends and Family will be joining us at the Gala Day to chat about the importance of early detection. They'll also have a great range of goodies to buy.

💜 The Heart will be open from 10.30 am until 1pm tomorrow, come along and join us for a cuppa and find out about the products and services we provide for local breast cancer patients. 😊💜

💜 Donations for our fundraising events can be dropped off, as well as gently worn bras for our bra bank collection for Smalls For All, and you can collect Raffle tickets for our grand raffle to be drawn at The Breast Friends and Family Fundraising fashion Show on the 30th October. 🥰💜

💜 🥾 We are delighted to have volunteers signed up for the Edinburgh Kiltwalk, and even have a few signed up for the 21 miles Mighty Stride! 💜 Hope your training is going well, don’t forget we will be at the finish line to meet you! 💜 If 21 miles is a bit too much to take on, you can opt for the Big Stroll, 11.3 miles or the Wee Wander, great if you have younger family members joining you, 4.6 Miles. 🥾💜 Don’t forget to share your Just Giving Pages, every penny helps Breast Friends and Family provide the little things that make a big difference. 🥰💜
