On Saturday 31st January , Staff and Cadets of 1271 were joined at the Royal British Legion by parents friends, and invited guests, to celebrate the birthday of Robert Burns at our Annual Burns Supper.

Thanks to our hosts Royal British Legion, Bathgate , our wonderful meal from Forbes Catering, and EWOS for sponsoring the event.

We were overwhelmed by the raffle prize donations this year, and this allowed us to raise vital funds for our planned projects in 2026 - special thanks to Optimal Events Hire, Onyx Lane Photography, Steven Cicero Painter & Decorator, Bella & Duke, Rubbal's Takeaway, Bathgate Golf Club, Maciz Hair Salon, Salon 17, Morrisons, Tesco, Ferguson Optometry Bathgate, Livelines Tacke & Guns Ltd, Billy's Books, Personal Best - Health, Fitness & Wellbeing Armadale and Billy & Anne Mitchell!

A wonderful evening of poems, speeches and presentations followed up dancing the night away at our Ceilidh!

We’ve been a little quiet on social media lately — but that certainly doesn’t mean we haven’t been busy behind the scenes! ✈️🎭

Unfortunately, due to poor weather, our flying during the October holidays had to be cancelled. However, our cadets still made the most of the day with a tour of the aircraft while waiting to see if the skies would clear.

Since then, we’ve celebrated Halloween, collected on behalf of Poppy Scotland, and prepared for Remembrance Sunday parades, alongside ongoing Classification Training and Duke of Edinburgh Award preparation.

We rounded off the year with a fantastic visit to the Regal Connect Theatre to see Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs — a perfect way to end a busy and rewarding year! 🎄✨
