Just back from visiting family in Canonbie, lovely little village in the Borders and very close to Carlisle and the Gretna shopping village. It is the home of the Clan Armstrong which is our mother’s maiden name and the tower had a very famous visitor called Neil Armstrong- how cool is that !!

We had a lovely morning at Lauriston Castle, Edinburgh and such a peaceful quiet ceremony to the Royal Scots who served in Burma and on the Lisbon Maru........beautiful place and quiet respectful ceremony - we'll be back next year, and hopefully some of the Royal Scots from the Legion will also attend!!
