🚌 Safari Trip This Saturday!

Joining us? Be at the Community Centre for 9.45am. Bus departs at 10am for a day full of animals, laughs and memories.

Return bus leaves the Safari Park at 4.30pm prompt — don’t get left behind!

A lovely little transformation to share today! 🌿

The first photo shows our cartwheel feature on the main forest walkway as it was before - sadly quite overgrown and barely visible. The second shows it now, freshly cleared and renewed, and looking so much better for everyone to enjoy again.

Matt (our Gardner) has also been busy behind the scenes planting lots of daffodils and scattering kilos of wildflower seeds around the area. You might not see the full results just yet, but with a bit of patience, it should be a beautiful display next year 🌼

Thank you to everyone involved in helping keep our forest looking its best, it really does make a difference!

We wanted to keep everyone updated with an important change.

As West Lothian Council has now resumed control of the community centres, we were required to review our constitution to remove any direct connection to both the community centre and the council.

These proposed changes were presented at a recent EGM and we’re pleased to confirm they have now been formally approved by OSCR.

As a result, we are delighted to announce that we are now called East Whitburn and Redmill Community Association, formerly East Whitburn and Redmill Community and Education Centre Committee.

We’re also pleased to confirm that the committee members remain the same: Carol Bradley, Lorraine Johnston, Karen Forrest, Daren Bunting, Jo Hogg, Marion Ritchie, Lindsay Brant and Danny Kilpatric.

Over the coming weeks and months, we’ll be setting up a new page, updating email addresses, and making a few other changes behind the scenes. In the meantime, everything will continue to operate as normal.

🚌 Blair Drummond Safari Park Trip Update

We now have only 1 seat left on the bus for Blair Drummond Safari Park! 🦁🐘🦍🐆

If you have booked a seat but have not yet paid your £5 per person deposit to secure it, please could you reach out to Marion Ritchie on 07947 186288, and she will arrange to collect it from you. This money will be returned to you on the day when you board the bus.

The reason we are asking for deposits is to help avoid “no shows” on the day. In the past this has happened, and as we have to pay the safari park entry fees in advance for the whole group, unused seats would mean a waste of valuable funds.

We trust that everyone who books a seat intends to attend, and we really appreciate your understanding and support in helping us make these community trips work smoothly for everyone 😊
